Republican landslide in US book vote
A map created by Amazon tracking the bestselling political books in the US state by state shows that conservative titles are outselling liberal books virtually everywhere - suggesting that if Americans' voting choices are linked to their book-buying habits, the Democrats are in for a tough ride this November.

Liberal books are about as interesting as liberal talk radio. No one reads or listens to that liberal propaganda crap.
#3 Aug 22, 2012
You're right. Without talk radio, books, Faux News, and other propaganda, how would we even know what to think?
Maybe liberals don't need propaganda. Maybe they just have to pay attention. And now back to your regularly scheduled programming..

This poll doesn't make sense.
Of course, adults who are capable of reading, processing information, and doing simple fourth grade math vote for Romney and Ryan. Duh!

Talk about grasping at straws.

The Obama State Department's purchase of OVER $70,000 TAXPAYER DOLLARS for OBAMA BOOKS didn't have an impact!?
Talk about feathering the INCOME of the President by BUYING OBAMA'S books and INCREASING MICHELLE'S and HIS PERSONAL INCOME!
Let's have our guys buy Barack's books and give Barack more money in his bank account! It's just American taxpayers' money
#7 Aug 22, 2012
Hmm...from the very same article you linked to:
"State Department spokesman Noel Clay said the book purchases followed regular government procurement rules. He said diplomats have long used books as a way to help broker talks on important foreign policy matters."
"He also said books are purchased to stock the State Department’s 'information resource centers,' which he said are located around the world and provide books about the U.S. covering issues such as culture, history and values."
"There’s no indication the White House knew about the purchases...."
Always remember that reading and comprehension is NOT the conservatard way!

What has Obama done?
Obama supporters would tend to say that they are:
-Bailout of GM
-Food stamps with no need to work
-Illegals and aliens handling
-Welcoming visa holders by giving residency
-Olympic medals by outsourcing Olympic uniforms
-Foreign policy expertise
-On AFGHANISTAN, LIBYA, NORTH KOREA,RUSSIA,CHINA
-Printing vast amounts of money
-Women's rights and liberation
-Economic flourishing from Bush era of bad economy
-Tax returns versus birth certificates
-GivI9NG press reports and freedom of expressions
-Christians different from Mormons, same as Muslims
-A list of something else, but cannot name them
BUT OBAMA HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING REAL AND REAL RESULTS BUT DONE DAMAGES IN MANY AREAS.
-Iraq: If Bush were to stay another term, he would say that the troops would withdraw finally by saying, "Now the mission to Iraq is ended", as Obama doing the same thing by claiming he did further than Bush by saying,"Mission accomplished".
It is all the same as Bush, but Obama's way of saying seems to be odd than if Bush would say it himself. It is still an ugly business for Obama doing Bush about Iraq because Bush was not in the third term to announce it.
-Bin Laden: Obama says he is brave to kill ghosts without having to show proof of pictures and people need not get to know if it is not true--just as the same thing for getting bin Laden.
-Obamacare: His health care way is ripping off public money for making it a too expensive system.
-Bailout of GM: His bailouts are beyond GM by ripping off public money for making too expensive bailouts.
-Food stamps with no need to work: He does not care whether you have jobs as long as you have food stamps.
-Illegals and aliens handling: They are all the same as born-in-USA people.
-Welcoming visa holders by giving residency: It is to increase loading into education and health care systems to displace citizens, in order to expand population.
-Olympic medals by outsourcing Olympic uniforms: Getting uniforms made from outside is to face outside countries in competition and so that is the way medals can be won.
-Foreign policy expertise: Obama still touts the same Iran, etc., as the same way as the Bush way.
-On AFGHANISTAN,LIBYA, NORTH KOREA,RUSSIA,CHINA: Go further the same way that Bush had done
-Printing vast amounts of money: While people do not have jobs, more money would be printed so that people can look at them, but cannot earn them.
-Stock market: The current prices of commodities are good, so that stock market is a result of his doing
-Women's rights and liberation: Single mothers should feel liberated to associate with anyone as more importance than getting jobs.
-Education: US position in high school tests is to mean it is a matter of saying it is good education by saying it , but not showing results as it ranks low among world.
-Economic flourishing from Bush era of bad economy:
All and everything of economy during Bush times were bad and Obama has made people better off economically by taking away jobs.
-Tax returns versus birth certificates : Many years of tax returns HAVE TO BE SHOWN versus Obama's birth certificate as People question it.
-Give press reports and freedom of expressions :
Obama's answers to press are often sketchy because they are freedom expressions of people asking that he cannot give answers
-Religious rights: People have rights to believe AL QAEDA are religious people because they are of Islam religion faith.
-Christians different from Mormons, same as Muslims:
Mormons are not much as a religion because some of them are polygamists, but not the Muslims and Christians.
-Gay marriage: People should be married as gays more and more.
-Encourage abortion: Women have not done abortion before should try it.
-A list of something else, but cannot name them.

Just as Rightie squawk radio and the Rightie blogosphere do, and Faux News. Righties have to be told what to think, and love to live in an echo-chamber environment with other idiots who "think" as they do.
Liberals, Dems, and lefties in general tend to participate more in open discussion, read and listen to lots of sources, and make their own minds up accordingly.

Apparently "comprehension" is your problem.
The post was made to demonstrate that buying Obama's books didn't boost 'liberal' sales percentages.
You're observations are snark, not reason.

Poor 'ol harvey.
'Snark' is a poor substitute for 'reason'.
You keep bleating your troll posts as if you ever have anything of any consequence to say.

Maxine Waters (D-CA) has been named one of the most corrupt members of Congress by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) in 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2011. She is facing an ethics trial for using her position as a ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee to force Treasury officials to meet with her for what the House Ethics Committee alleges led to favorable action for OneUnited Bank.
In the interest of space and word constraints, the charges against her can be reduced to this: It is alleged that Waters used the weight of her senior position on the committee to arrange a meeting with then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. The request for the meeting was masked as her advocating TARP money on behalf of minority-owned banks in desperate financial straits, brought about by failed Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae investments. But as the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) pointed out, the end result was that the only bank to receive financial assistance from TARP was OneUnited Bank, which received $12 million.
The problem is that her efforts were in her official capacity and compounding that, the only bank to receive TARP money was the bank in which her husband had investments. These were valued between $500,000 and $1 million. Her husband also happened to be a board member of the bank, and the bank had contributed $12,500 to her election campaigns. The House Ethics Committee charged Waters with multiple offenses commensurate with her actions.
But NLPC — the group responsible for uncovering Waters’ alleged misdeeds — updated the case, saying:
The congresswoman’s trial was to begin last November , but was delayed indefinitely after new documents surfaced. The documents consist of a series of emails between Waters’ chief of staff and grandson Mikael Moore, and members of the Financial Services Committee. The emails show that Moore participated in discussions regarding the bank bailout legislation that directly affected OneUnited.
When confronted with charges similar to those for which mafia chieftains have been imprisoned, you and I would attempt to retreat from the court of negative public opinion. But Maxine Waters isn’t most people — she is an arrogant, powerful, high-ranking, senior member of Congress.
Her thirst for power is unabated, and with Barney Frank (D-MA) having announced he will retire at the end of this term, his position as the ranking Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee is about to open up. Without regard for appearance, Waters has made it known that she is laying the necessary groundwork to become the ranking Democrat on the very committee whose rules she is facing trial for breaking.

The Democratic billionaires are back.
Last month was the first time a super-political action committee supporting President Barack Obama attracted the attention of multiple big-money contributors, a review of Federal Election Commission records shows.
The billionaire donors to Priorities USA Action were: Irwin Jacobs, who built Qualcomm Inc.(QCOM); Jon Stryker, an architect whose fortune comes from his family’s medical supply business; and Haim Saban, a media executive who was one of President Bill Clinton’s top fundraisers.
The trio gave a combined $3 million, about half what the super-PAC raised in June, its best fundraising month yet. It was the first time any of those donors had contributed to Priorities.
Meanwhile, George Soros, a billionaire financier who underwrote much of the failed effort to oust President George W. Bush in 2004, cut a $1 million check in June to American Bridge, a super-PAC that focuses on opposition research.
The donations are significant because Obama’s supporters have lagged far behind the fundraising pace of Republican super- PACs seeking to defeat him. Priorities has raised $21 million, compared with $122 million collected by the two primary groups opposing him.
Republican super-PACs have secured multiple contributions from billionaires including Las Vegas Sands (LVS) chairman Sheldon Adelson, Houston investor Harold Simmons and William Koch, head of Oxbow Carbon. Their money has flowed mostly to American Crossroads, a super-PAC formed with help from Bush’s political strategist Karl Rove, and Restore Our Future, which was founded by former aides to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Returning to the Democratic fold in a big way is former Bill Clinton bundler Saban, a 67-year-old billionaire music and television producer who made his fortune with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers children’s series.
A strong supporter of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2008 primary, Saban made his first contribution to an Obama campaign on Dec. 19, 2011, giving his re-election bid $5,000, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington- based group that tracks federal donors.
Just 18 days earlier, White House visitor records show, Saban paid a visit to the West Wing where William Daley, then Obama’s chief of staff and now the president’s campaign co- chairman, signed him in for a meeting.
Saban told The Hollywood Reporter afterward that he and Obama “talked policy” during a one-on-one meeting in the Oval Office.
On June 25, Saban gave $1 million to Unity 2012, an umbrella group for Priorities and several other Democratic super-PACs. Saban was the only donor listed in the new group’s July quarterly report, and $333,333 of his money went to Priorities.
Saban has maintained his relationship with Bill Clinton. The former president headlined a Democratic National Convention fundraising event in June at Saban’s Beverly Hills, California, home, according to the convention website. Bill Burton, a co- founder of Priorities, is also seeking Clinton’s help in raising money, he said July 14 on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt.”
Saban, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel, has told reporters previously that his interests include support of the Jewish state and abortion rights. He is chief executive officer of Broadcast Media Partners Inc. and chairman of Univision Communications Inc., the Spanish-language network.
“As a long-time supporter of the Democratic Party, I recently made contributions to multiple super-PACs that back causes central to the party,” Saban said in an e-mailed statement last night.“I have, and always will be, a champion of the Democratic Party, President Obama, and the party’s elected officials.”
Before June, the only billionaire who’d given to Priorities was director Steven Spielberg. He wrote a $100,000 check a year ago.
NOW ASK YOURSELF WHY???
