Massachusetts should be next...Good for Rhode Island. I am glad to hear the we are moving forward on this subject instead of moving backwards , it is better to buy pot from some place that is honest and regulated. Buying from dealers just contributes to the drug trade since most of the dealers not all but most and associated with other drugs such as coke and crack and who wants to contribue to and associate with losers and real drug dealers just to smoke a little weed... who knows what could happen to you while dealing with these type of people...it is the best organic and natural medicine and it really does help people. weed grown naturally it isnt created by man such as crack and coke and shouldnt be considered in the same class by the law or anyone, it is as natural as going out in your yard and picking an apple and eating it... burners rejoice there will be a time we can all just blaze up and it will be legal... Rhode Island smokers unite 420 today you should all light one up.

I can't imagine why the state doesn't sell $200 tags to put on plants grown in your home or on your property.

Take in the money, reduce street trade, make it safer (organic).

Everyone talks about "gateway drug" and crime/violence that goes along with the trade.

If people could grow a few plants for personal use, we would take away the street market.

How simple, why so hard to do?

Hey love, I have to laugh at you responding to my post and you are right I am sad that we have run out of our bud. I worked hard today and I know you did too and it would be nice to re-lax. But friday is coming and good thing a good l o n g time friend will be stoping over and we dont have to go into any shady areas, at our age who needs to be doing that anymore. Although it would be sooooo nice to just run to the local ( Coffee ) shop and pick up something from a nice variety of different KINDs. See you tonite.

Good Morning friend,
Exactly, I'll keep trying. Legalization in my opinion is the right, and only, way to go.
I'll bet you had a soggy work week. My house got so damp even the mice left.

Let's go Mass let's go! It's our turn! The state could make so much money on this stuff, but they don't care, they are making money off the court systems, and fines. Even with the new law, they still make 100 here and 100 there..But duh, could make even more if they just legalize and sell in packs like cigarettes..Dumb state! lol

If Mass.ever joins the flow of legalization, you can bet it will be so heavily taxed, that it will be cheaper for users to buy it on the streets, from the pusher man, therefore defeating the purpose to make it legal.

I wonder if legalizing it in RI has anything to do with keeping Congressman Kennedy out of jail? He just did a second stint in rehab since he got into office.

what rI needs to do is set up pain relief centers like Florida. But make it state controlled like the alcohol beverage centers in the South. People from all over the northeast would come here to get prescriptions and you'd be doing society a favor because all the addicts would rather get their stuff legally and stay out of trouble instead of stealing to support their habits. At the same time crack down real hard on the dope dealers.

Have you ever considered a little moderation in the number of tokes you take?

The word "legalize" seems to be a stumbling block in this issue. How about "reclassification"?
This substance is sorely in need of reclassification.
Bringing it to a level below tobacco...where it belongs....would essentially accomplish the same goal without using the scary "L" word.
Whatcha think?

Virgo

The world is your oyster. There isn't anyone you're afraid to talk to or any situation you're afraid to place yourself in. The word 'extrovert' must have been coined just to describe you. You're the master of time at the moment, cutting through red tape and getting right to the heart of the matter. If you use the right words, you can make anyone see your point of view, even if they don't agree.
