Both the Republican controlled House and the Democratically controlled Senate pass bills that the other will reject. Then they, mostly the House, gripe that the President tries to legislate via executive orders. Reinhold Niebuhr said "Democracy is finding proximate solutions to insoluble problems." Our current Congress doesn't seem to believe in solving the nation's problems only satisfying their political base to stay in power. The problems don't really go away on their own so Congress needs to give up the recess and pass a bill they can send to the President.
Would you support reimposing Ronald Reagan's solution? No matter it couldn't get out of Congress.

Correction, the Senate did not pass a bill and yet the president says nothing..........about their lack of action. His ruse is just that, more of creating a villain, then putting on his black hat to ride to the rescue.

Have the idiot Dems forgotten they had control of House and Senate for two years? They had plenty of time to pass Amnesty for the diseased people and Republicans would have no say. They knew they'd be hated by most people but a few of their loons, so better to wait and blame Republicans. The coward's. No wonder their so many Dems with yellow streaks and I thought it was hepatitis.

The Senate had passed an immigration bill earlier that the house would not consider. The general statement holds, the two houses can seldom agree and send bills to the President. The political divisions are deep and 'we the people' will ultimately be the ones to suffer. Stage 3 of five on the road to an different 'ism'.

The last 'Amnesty' law was Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), Pub.L. 99–603, 100 Stat. 3445, enacted November 6, 1986, signed into law by Ronald Reagan on November 6, 1986.

Yes, after Teddy Kennedy promised Reagan that this would be the last time for amnesty and the border would be secured........shame on Reagan. He believed a liberal.

What does the last Amnesty passing in 1986. have to do with it passing now? You had control of house and Senate for two years, you should have passed it then, no you wait until you only control the Senate.. You know Republicans are opposed they care about Americans first.

It's Obama's only chance to hold the Senate.........as slim as that is. Fraud will be rampant for sure in liberal strongholds.
