The shootings in Aurora, Colorado early Friday morning are almost certain to re-stoke the debate over whether more gun control laws are needed, a conversation that has lain near-dormant since early 2011 when former.

What kind of gun controls would address this, or other problems with gun violence our country has is unclear....but what's CLEAR is we have way, WAAA-AAAY too many guns in this country, they're too easily available, and there are too many violent, crazy people ready to use them.

If the NRA and its gun-nut followers could put aside their obsession with the 2nd Amendment for once, and seriously discuss gun control, we might get something done. But they can't and won't, and we won't. The violence will continue, we'll continue to shake our heads, and people will continue to die.
