Dems See Lessons In Defeat Of Creigh Deeds

Nov 7, 2009 Full story: www.politico.com 11

Faced with the choice of running as an unapologetic Democrat in a state trending toward his party or keeping his distance from Washington in the fashion of a generation of Southern Democrats, Creigh Deeds tried to do both.

The result: the worst drubbing a Virginia gubernatorial candidate has received since 1961.

Democrats are going see and get a lesson in 2010. It is time to throw all of them out with Nancy and Harry. I am hoping the USA will wake up. Maybe they should be watching the healtcare bill on floor today instaed of the ball games to see what they have sent to Washington to represent them. The people in this attention spanof NY SECOND now wonder we have millionaires annd liars making our laws in Washington. It is time to elect some common people who would be in touch with reality like having to work and feed a family or a small business person who has to meet a payroll with all the different rules these idiots have placed on them, yet have exempted themselves and their staff. They do not have to meet a payroll because us stupid taxpayers bank roll their payroll and faciltate them making the rules that create our own demise. What stupid voters we have out there and they know it, while taking advantage of their short comings.

Obama may have helped Deeds in northern and eastern sections of Virginia, but I doubt the help would have been significant.

The problem with this landscape is jobs, national debt, and a healthcare bill that a majority are against. A Deeds win of the governorship would have meant support for this administration...a majority is against that. Obama has no coat tails except in places like Californicator, Michigan, Illinois, and New York.

The Democratic party has itself between a rock and a hard place. Moderates make up the majority and as we saw back in the early nineties, the majority don't support the liberal causes, which, plainly speaking, is the idea that the government knows what's best for the people.

This is further complicated by the fact, as Wake Up USA pointed out, that the people we've elected are completely out of touch. We have career politicians whose main focus is chasing down the money required to keep getting them elected and voting in whatever manner it takes to keep those campaign contributions coming their way.

We have The Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, a trust fund baby who has used her political clout to help her husbands company prosper by bending the rules. This woman can't possibly know what middle America goes through just to buy a home, keep a job with benefits and try to save enough money to get the kids into college. What it's like to get up every day and trudge off to a job you don't even like, year after year, just to keep your head above water. Ditto for the Hollywood crowd. Yet they push incessantly to create a nanny state that they know will never affect them.

Deeds didn't have a chance. He couldn't appeal to the liberal voters in the party without alienating the moderates, and vice versa. I think we're going to see this played out all over the country come 2010.

Everywhere we went over the weekend we heard about the Healthcare bill. Because they won't give anyone time to read it, people are taking little bits of the evil parts, and guessing at the rest, making anyone who voted for it appear stupid. It will never pass the Senate in its present form, and by the time they get a bill that will pass it won't be worth much.

I told my Cong. that New Jersey was coming to MA. and he still voted for EMBALMER CARE. I am seriously thinking of going back to the Democratic Party or Idependent so I can vote in the Democratic Primary. Primaries have low turn out here and your vote is worth more.

Reply – evil parts is right, and that’s why people must NOT stop trying to show that socialism is being pushed with many of the bills; never underestimate opposition, or they just may win.
Socialism has been rammed down our throats for a hundred or more years, those opposed have only a few years, at the most, to defeat the socialist bills.
Many people think,“you can’t fight government”. They are so busy making their dollar stretch that no time is available to do research. People are used to taking what is dumped on them, as with passage of the stimulus, with it’s huge invasion on people’s rights has proved. We’re now paying the price for not getting involved with what the government is doing to us – many other countries know more about US politics than American citizens do. The socialists have us just where they want us, BUT more people are noticing they are getting the royal shaft, and are doing something about it – so the SOCIALISTS WILL GET VOTED OUT OF OFFICE.

Dunn leaving White House, Pfeiffer takes over
White House communications director Anita Dunn will step down from her post at the end of the month and Dan Pfeiffer, her deputy, will take over, according to sources familiar with the move.
Dunn, a longtime Democratic media consultant, took over the job earlier this year when Ellen Moran abruptly left the post………the waters getting hot……..this is the third one in less than a year. Maybe attacking FOX cost her more than it did FOX.

Paterson: New York State Will Be Broke Before Christmas...

University of Massachusetts
Terror bomber Raymond Luc Levasseur, who served 18 years in federal prison, allowed to speak at the University of Massachusetts………maybe he will be stopping by to fill an application for Bomb Czar....and with Bill Ayers there will be two.
