Having had dealings with the IRS, I can't wait for the mayhem that follows. On a pleasant Saturday, my late mother received a letter determining that she had overpaid in her receipt of a small annuity from my brother. On Monday, her bank called and said that the IRS had frozen her accounts. The issue was that her attorney had paid the taxes on the year she actually received the money, not the year the check was issued.(The check was issued on December 28 and was received on January 2.)She had to pay an additonal $2500 in fines and costs even though no one had done anything wrong; it was simply a difference of interpretation about which year the taxes should be paid.

With the IRS having "elective" right to examine our bank dealings, there will be, no doubt, many such snafus and innocent people will find their credit ruined because of the famous "account freeze."

I still say that we are turning into a police state, except that we are being forced into compliance by the threat of financial ruin rather than at the point of a gun.

Unlimited access to our personal finances is an unprecedented invasion of privacy. In controlling health care, the government can also force compliance to any rules it sets down. Big Brother will indeed be watching you.

Tim...guess we'll just see about your prediction. This Congress is already down to a 17% approval rating, so it doesn't sound too positive for this bunch.

With regards to the IRS: I've called to ask a simple question and if I talk to 3 people, I get 3 different answers. I just keep calling until I get 2 who agree with me!

Woof, These Progressives, they look human and they speak like us, but there's something strange. They all have this strange vacant stare and smile on their faces and when you ask them questions they don't answer them, they only regurgitate approved talking points. It's like they have been implanted with a device in their frontal lobes, and are controlled from a central location. It reminds me of the old classic SciFi film "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".

Oh, how wrong Kaine is.

The democrats think that if they 'say it', it's true.

It ain't happening.

vote out every democrat on any ticket anywhere.

That's how this country can reclaim it's heritage.

End and ERROR in 2012!

They love clinging to their Titanic, as it sinks. The only victim of the health care bill is the tea party movement. It's DEAD. BTW will their be an anniversary party on April 15, this year? It could be a pot-luck. Who's bringing the hate? Last time, that's all there was. Some of you need to bring more anger, fear, and greed, so everyone gets a balanced meal. LOL
The tea party movement is far from dead. Some of the states aren't prepared to roll over for this Federal power grab. The Attorney General for SC and Florida are filing suit to block the Healthcare bill as unconstitutional. This is going to be very interesting.

Woof, Larry, Does Obama send the Cool Aid directly to you, pre-mixed, or do you buy it with your food stamps?

I agree, I think they are all on prozac or zoloft or some anti depressant. You ever try to deal with a nut case on these meds? They are taking total advantage of their healthcare.

I look forward to hearing how those in the Party of Block, the Party of Tea Blaggers, the Party of No explain to those who will benefit from this bill why they should NOT be helped with this bill.

That will take alot of spin, alot of frightwinging and alot of scare tactics - something of course these people are good at - but failed in the last election and failed in this one.

This should not be about Waterloo, Napoleon or Wellington or keeping their butts in their jobs but what is good for our citizens. Perhaps they should remember that.

And many of us are Independents, not the GOP and up to this point not a member of the Tea Party. No tiddly winks being play and in November I think you'll see Check-Mate.

The democrats are scared. They KNOW people will be going to the polls to vote them out.

Don't stop at the state and national level, vote out democrats in your local community.
