So let me get this straight. If this was a law passed by Congress and signed by the President, and these guys are in Congress, why not introduce a bill to repeal DOMA?

they're tying to have the act ruled unconstitutional

I do not believe gays should join together under the title of Marriage. Unity or some other title that does not diminish the values and principals that we have recognized for a life time. Same rights is ok just not under the title of marriage. You can call me a biget or anything you want.

It's bidet; and the 'title' deprives them financially under the law.

Our nation was founded upon Judeo-Christian values, principles and morals, but it seems our nation's political officials and citizens have forgotten this fact. Thus, we are increasingly turning away from God and His Holy Word, leaving us a spiritually and morally fractured society. As a result, everyone is thinking and doing "what is right in their own eyes" with little regard for the consequences to themselves, their neighbors or society as a whole.
What society, however, has ever been able to long stand or succeed by turning to human so-called wisdom rather than to God's wisdom? Yet, somehow, our political officials and citizens think it will go differently for us than it has for others. God's eternal values, principles and morals, though, have not changed, nor have the consequences for ignoring them.
Go ahead, then, and foolishly push forward the homosexual agenda--giving legal cover and sanction for sodomy/same-sex relations, but know you in doing so you are also going against God's creative design, will and purpose and, therefore, to our nation's peril.

The question no one is asking is, "Why does government sanction marriage in the first place?"
Could it be that marraige between a man and a woman somewhat assures that any offspring will have the best opportunity to become productive members of society? If that's the case, then why would government sanction marriage between same sex couples who have no chance of producing offspring?

Gv't should just butt out of private lives. It's none of their business.
