The restrictions Kaine supports are a start. I'd like to see anything but Nerf guns banned unless the owner and everyone in the household is cleared on annual background checks and annual psychiatric assessments paid for by the gun owners prior to purchasing the weapons.

In 2011 hammers killed more people than so called semi automatic assault rifles. Medical malpractice took at least 200,000 lives so obviously doctors are a bigger threat than the 330 or so deaths blamed on rifles in 2011.

Elections have consequences... gun control is immoral. It limits the ability of lawful citizens to defend themselves. It does not limit criminals or mental defectives.

By the way, Virginia already has a law on the books that says if a convicted felon is caught in possession of a firearm he can get up to five years in state prison------but quite oddly the liberal judges usually give the criminal less than two or so years. Hmm, sounds like a great idea for NBC29 to do a follow up story on,,,,,,,,,,figure the odds..........

Tim Kaine is an piece-of-dog crap who sold his soul to bloomberg and obamists.
In this idiot's eyes legal gun owners are in the same category as convicted sex offenders and criminals just because they own a gun.

Interestingly enough, Tim Kaine rescinded that law when he was still Governor. Do you see a pattern here?

Considering how many naive women are getting picked off around the country by the "poor homeless" men they like to coddle and give money to you would think that more women would be arming themselves.

Now that the weather is getting warmer I see that our sex offenders and recent alumni of the state prison system are begging at Pantops intersections and Freebridge again.

History was not you best subject

Heres a history of what happens after governments have disarmed their citizens:

1911 Turkey disarmed its citizens, and between 1915 1917 they murdered 1.5 million Armenians.

1929 Russia disarmed its citizens, and between 1929 1953 they murdered 20 million Russians.

1935 China disarmed its citizens, and between 1948 1952 they murdered 20 million Chinese.

1938 Germany disarmed its citizens, and between 1939 1945 they murdered 16 million Jews.

1956 Cambodia disarmed its citizens, and between 1975 1977 they murdered 1 million Educated people.

1964 Guatamala disarmed its citizens, and between 1964 1981 they murdered 100,000 Mayan Indians.

1970 Uganda disarmed its citizens, and between 1971 1979 they murdered 300,000 Christians.

You seem to think that gunfights are fought by the "Marquis de Queensberry" rules. Limiting lawful citizens to a 10 round magazine is immoral. The criminals and mental defectives have no limitation like that.
School kids are placed in jeopardy by bringing them to "gun free" schools and not protecting them. That's immoral. Mental defectives know that's the place to go to get famous by taking young lives as well as their own.
The mental defective in Connecticut who killed children and adults stole the guns from his mother. No background check needed for that. Background checks are for lawful citizens, not criminals or mental defectives.
It is already a federal crime to sell a firearm to someone who is a criminal or mentally unstable. Background checks are feckless. Attempts by criminals to buy a gun that way are rarely prosecuted. Making it more burdensome for lawful citizens to conduct a legal business transaction is just harassment, it doesn't make anyone safer.

I was waiting for a gun cowboy to reply with this logic. At least the victims survived, had been a gun there would of been dead all around and your dum arse would of been calling for more guns.
