It is about time that the republican party makes an immigration proposal for the millions of people that are serving this country of ours. Republicans remember next election is going to be more latinos voting against our party if we keep attacking the so called "illegal immigrants' Keep in mind that these people are here because we sponsor them since we eat vegetables and go places where their work. I have not seen a blue eyes and blond hair person working in the agricultural fields nor a an American housekeeper, I wonder why? Maybe because it is a hard work!!! What do you think
\Republican party wake up.

republicans have not made any proposal about the 25 million illegal aliens in this country,u.s. citizenship should not be given just because they pick tomatoes and change diapers,a guest worker program will be the only thing offered for agriculture and other jobs Americans won't do so get off your pony, republicans know that no matter what most latinos will vote democratic so they will much rather die in a fight than to commit suicide.

They act like its THEIR decision.
.
It is OUR country and OUR decision.
.
LET THEM KNOW THAT!!!
It is THEIR decision. Believe it or not you can not vote in either Congress or the Senate.

The people you elected have this privilege, but as far as the immigration issue goes they have left you behind. They played you for several years, but now have no use for you.

If anyone was played it was the latinos. I still dont think the average Senator or Congressman will vote for amnesty. Even the ones that claim they are. I think THEY are the ones playing the latinos.
.
obama doesnt count he is obviously anti America and anti white.
Oh. So you can't "technically" vote in Congress. Such a small technicality.

We do have a mechanism where people can make their voices heard. It is called an election.

The topic of this thread is that the GOP is bailing on the whole immigration issue. They thought it was useful to them for a while, but the election showed those days are over. You can rise and shout all you want, but the GOP not longer cares.

<quoted text>You either missed the point or you are being a jackass. I take it you think illegal aliens should be made legal. Why would you possible feel that way?
This is some interesting logic. You respond to an article that says the the GOP is changing their tune on immigration with some bizarre comments about how Congress the Senate and Obama have no power to do this. Somehow you thought you could vote on House and Senate bills.

When you find this is not true suddenly I am in favor of legalization for people. Very strange and you are wrong about this too.

The first know usage of the word "amnesty" was 1580. It's definition has remained constant through the centuries. Just because you misuse the word does not change anything.

So yes you are correct. If there is any type of penalty involved it is not amnesty.

By the way, how do you feel about drivers who receive traffic tickets? Do you think they should be put in prison or should they just be banned from ever driving a car again?

You certainly can not be in favor of allowing the reckless driver to pay a fine and move on with their lives. That would be considered "amnesty" by your new definition of the word.

Unlawful presence in the US is a civil offense. That places it into the same legal classification as a traffic ticket. I hope you are not going to tell me that "amnesty" is OK sometimes, but not others.

I have seen previous post of yours stating the same ridiculous nonsense. It's only a civil offense the first time because they want to get rid of them without a trial,I don't think a second traffic ticket is a felony like a second unlawful entry or is it?all of you amnesty supporters really need to stop acting like Americans laws apply the same for citizens and illegal aliens, an American who gets a parking ticket dosent deserve to go to jail and neither does a Mexican in Mexico,Americans who violate Mexicans laws should be deported and the other way around.keep thinking the law works the same way for illegal aliens and watch how disappointed you will be

This is the difference between living in a fact based world and the world of make believe.

A second unlawful entry is not a felony. Simple as that.

If somebody is arrested and deported it is a misdemeanor if they try to re-enter. If they get deported a second time it is a felony if they are caught entering a third time. Of course now of this applies if they simply leave on their own volition and try to re-enter.

By the way, in some cases traffic violations can get bumped up to misdemeanors and sometimes even felonies.

talk about living in fantasy land,a second time is a felony and even if what you're saying is true about unlawful entrance, I would still like to know if a pathway or outright citizenship is an option?

I'm saying amnesty is not an option. I'm also trying to figure out why is this topic such a huge issue if its the same thing as a parking or ticket?
