Minority test scores have been dragging down the average for decades. White test scores reflect higher IQ scores while black test scores reflect their lower IQs. Its difficult if not impossible to educate people beyond their intelligence. Educators across the country are still in denial over the diversity of IQ levels by race. 'No child left behind' has been a wasted effort. School systems need to stop holding up the average and advanced students and let them have the resources to excel. Wasting money on slow learners is a flawed approach.

It would also help if we only administered the SAT to students who have a chance to get into a college instead of using it as a benchmark. CF

He's right. It's why Blacks are desparate to hold on to Affirmative Action. They need to give white students and white employees the equivalent of a golf handicap.

You could always give 'em a Doctorate of Self-esteem instead of a high school diploma. That way,you could reserve the high school diploma to recognize actual achievement. It would also shield many black student's from the shame of failure.Instead, they could proudly proclaim,"I'z a doctor!"

You seem to think that they just 'hand out' school diplomas! Since most of the top scorers in SAT are Asian maybe we should stop supporting all kids (yes even white) and just bet on these Asian kids and only the top performers in other groups! how you feel about that?

This provides some information on how race, family income and advanced classes reflected upon the nationwide 2009 scores.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/education/2009-0...

To be considered in this discussion is the fact that 71 percent of Georgian High Schoolers took the SAT compared to the 49 percent nationwide.

I don't have a problem if Asian kids outstrip white kids.If you are smart and it comes easy fine.If you are not as smart but have a work ethic that can compensate--Wonderful.If you are neither smart nor hardworking to hell with you white or minority.

Republican states seem to do fine with the tax cuts. It's the Democratic states that are facing educational failures, budget shortfalls, and blame for everyone but themselves.

Maybe they should do what Georgia did... remove the HTRG credit and let people pay it in taxes... wow what a plan! whatever
