For over 15 years, the KLC has depended almost entirely on federal and state handouts to stay open; launch revenues have NEVER covered the cost of operating the facility. They didn't launch a single rocket in 2009 and only one in 2010. It's time to stop the corporate welfare and stop throwing our state money away on a corroding white elephant, jokingly referred to in Kodiak as "Space Pork Kodiak".
