Immigrants? They aren't immigrants they are illegal aliens. Learn to know the difference.

You'll need a truckload of needles.
Of course the smart move for Christie would be to deny tuition to illegals, and forget any possibility of running for prez.

And why would that be? Aren't Hispanics obligated to respect our immigration laws just like everyone else?

We're talking politics here, not your constricted notions of what laws to respect.

No, we are talking ethnocentric racism in the Hispanic community that are blackmailing our politicians for votes. All laws should be respected. We aren't to pick and choose which ones we will honor and certainly not put our ethnic group/race above any of them.

I guess you would have respected slavery laws too.

I for one will not respect a law I consider unjust, and will do my best to repeal it. Ain't that the American way?

Slavery was logically wrong. Our immigration laws are not unjust or wrong. We still allow in 1 million legal immigrants a year a number that we can accommodate in jobs and resources. What is unjust is illegal aliens violating those laws and therefore unjustly harming our own citizens. The American way is to put our own citizens first and not to reward lawbreakers. You have a skewered idea of what being an American is.

Well you are obviously an ignorant bigot because I don't even go to church, don't have a beard and I'm a social moderate. The fact you're ok with a law breaking scumbag taking spots away from law abiding citizens is beyond logic. This discriminates against all those who are paying more for tuition just because they happen to be LEGAL citizens. What a slimeball. These illegals should be sent back and anyone trying to sneak in should be shot.

So you break your own rule about respecting the law when it's convenient for you. So much for the logic of your argument.
And that's "skewed", not "skewered", American.

How would I break the law by not having slaves myself had I lived during the time when slavery was legal? That isn't disrespecting that law nor is it breaking it. You're grasping at straws now.

Illegal aliens are breaking our "just" laws of legal immigration. As I said, we cannot take in every foreigner that wants to come here without harming our own citizens and that is why we have annual quotas. Foreigners that don't fall within those quotas don't have the right to come here anyway.

Oh geez, sorry for the typo. I didn't proof read my post but I know how to spell skewered. Kill me now, Mr. forum police.

All-beef baloney. Some laws are simply unjust, often enacted by bigots and other mental defectives. When laws are at odds with justice, they must not be respected. They must be overturned for justice to prevail.

I am not attacking efforts to prevent illegal immigration. But i am arguing for humane treatment of those already here.

Then please explain how our immigration laws are bigoted or unjust. I'll wait.

Your humane treatment of illegal aliens is not humane for our own citizens though by advocating for an amnesty for them. What part of that aren't you getting?

We allow in 1 million legal immigrants a year already based on our ability to provide them with jobs and resources. We should just trash that sane policy even though illegal immigration negates it? They managed to violate our immigration laws, steal jobs and resources from our own citizens and we should be humane to "them" by giving them a pass anyway all the while it being inhumane to our own citizens? Why is all your compassion for illegal foreigners and not any for American citizens?

Are you not aware that Mexicans and other Latinos hold the largest share of legal immigration into our country by far and yet it is they that are here in the largest numbers illegally also? What happened to diversity?

First of all, research shows the immigrants who are here illegally have actually contributed to our economy. That does not justify their illegal entry, but I want to get that argument off the table.

Second, how would you handle the estimated 12 million illegals who are already here, some for years?

Thirdly, I am offended by your suggestion that I have no compassion for American citizens. If you can infer that from anything I've said, you are the victim of your own biases.
