Clearly the target of Mr. Olman’s satire is Rick Perry and not the victims of the West, Texas blast. And like all good satire there is an element of truth.

Rick Perry has traveled to California and Illinois in an attempt to poach businesses from those states to Texas. He touts low taxes and low, or “sensible”, regulation.

Profit over people is what some say.
