Do we really need Gingrich to do to the federal government what he did to Freddie Mac?

Gingrich was paid at least $1.6 million as the political strategist for Freddie Mac. His job was to "build a bridge" and to "bond with Congress and with the Bush administration."

I haven't heard of anybody, other than Gingrich, who thinks that turned out well.

Gingrich is smart, knowledgable and experienced. He does appear to be the adult on the stage in the debates. He's also mean as a snake and totally unscrupulous.

God help us if we forget what Gingrich REALLY is and how much trouble he has caused for our country.

Newt Gingrich is too fat and frumpy to be president. He's a great debater, but that's about it.

Too much baggage. Not even some dirty tricks from Karl Rove can get him elected.

This should start to show everybody what Fox really is. It hired a totally corrupt disgraced Speaker of the House to work for it for ten years to try to make him the president of the U.S., now we all find out this guy has made about 200 billion dollars over the years selling him having been speaker to whoever would hire him, so he sold and sold the individual mandate for the health care industry, now he has to say he is against it, he worked for Freddie and Fannie to sell them, and at the same time he said Obama should give money he got from Freddie and Fannie back. Newt would know, since he got so much money from them. He goes on TV and says Chris Dodd and Barney Frank should be arrested over Freddie and Fannie knowing he was weeks away from it coming out that he worked for Freddie and Fannie. Newt is NOT smart. He is so greedy for money when he doesn't need anymore money. They guy is almost 70, he's a billionaire, he has a permanent job on Fox, tons of other jobs selling and selling himself as a former Speaker who can get people access to the politicians, he does not need to go and run for president except that he is a meglomaniac, he's power hungry. He's made nothing but money in politics, off of the taxpayers for 40 years, now he wants to be the ruler of the free world too. Get him the hell off of TV, out of my face. I'm so too good to have to see his fat, ugly, greed monger, lying face ond TV. Shove him off of the air already. Who the hell does he think he is? He thinks that he is ALL powerful because he was the speaker, that he can buy anyone and buy the presidential election too by using Fox for millions of dollars in free air time to run for president. He needs to get off of the TV, go retire and go to hell already and take Hannity with him. I am a Republican, and I do NOT want evil sick people like that disgracing the Republican party. Like that one guy told Newt "you are a disgrace to this party, get out before you make an even bigger fool of yourself." That guy was right.

And look how Fox knows that 999 would end SS and Medicare, end the mortgage tax deduction, tax everyone's rent nine percent, transfer all taxes onto the poor and middle class, and those evil, vile, corrupt azzholes on Fox support and support Cain and never one time tell the people what 999 would have done to them. OMG. Fox is not looking out for anyone other than the millionaires and billionaires who work on Fox. All they care about is getting their taxes lower and lower and them starting more wars for more profits for them. How can anyone look at that evil crap any longer?? Selling the biggest sickest tax hike in this country's history on the American people from Cain, and selling the insane, disgraced Newt for ten years now. Who in the hell do those people on Fox think they are?? How freaking dumb do they think viewers are for god's sake??

There must be an awful lot of misinformed Americans. Fox News channel has been leading the other news channels for years in viewers. Why would so many people watch it if it was inferior? Truth. It isn't, and the saddest truth of all will be when Fox viewers vote next year to hold the House, Change the Senate to Republican, and elect the new President. See, when we are alone in that voting booth we will ask ourselves are we better off today then we were 4 years ago. We can vote for 4 more years of failure, or anybody but President Obama.

Rupert Murdoch did a brilliant thing when he launched Fox. He GAVE IT AWAY FREE TO CABLE COMPANIES.

I owned a cable company at the time, and the cost of CNN was a large item in our expense column.

A lot of cable companies contracted with Fox as a cost-saving move.

Then the Murdochs did another brilliant thing. INSTEAD OF NEWS, THEY PROVIDE BOISTEROUS ENTERTAINMENT AROUND THE CLOCK.

They don't give a damn about news or about the United States or about anything else EXCEPT M-O-N-E-Y.

They are business people. There is nothing wrong with their making all the money they can.

But there is a lot wrong with their labelling their advertisers' message as "news."

Print media has to reveal it when they print articles paid for by advertisers, but cable companies do not.

Tragically, a lot of Americans do not know the difference between news and Fox's entertainment and propaganda channel.

You get your information from comedians, and you deserve what you get. Fox could not keep their sponcers if all they did was provide comedy relief. No other cable news channel comes close to their viewership.

Newt's moment in the sun is a flash in the pan. He will not be the nominee. Romney will carry the republican banner. He is in by far the best position to defeat Obama, and has strong conservative values. He is anti-gay marriage, pro-life, pro-miliary, very strong on immigration, and very pro-business. He is of high moral character, and has no skeletons in his closet.

But he has changed his stand on all of those except for being pro-business.

I agree with you that Romney is the best Republican candidate available (except for Huntsman, who has no chance), but I am bothered by the FACT that he is willing to pander to tea partiers, even though he has held opposite views from them in the past.

The good news, for rational people, is that Romney would very likely revert to his moderate self if he were elected.

I do not think the tea partiers would have a friend in the White House if Romney were elected.

Romney cannot win the General election, because he is a member of a church most Republicans look at as a cult religion. He is also pro choice in his past life, pro single payer Healthcare, and anti gun. He pretends all those things have changed this time, but who believes him? We don't have to have a perfect candidate, but we need one that isn't so wishy washy. He cannot poll above 23%

Nobody cares about that anymore because Glenn Beck is a Mormon and the idiot tea party loves Beck, so what do they care about who is a Mormon?? Old news, dead argument from the left, and you can thank Becky Beck for that.

I don't think Gingrich will be able to withstand scrutiny, any more than Perry could.

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), one of the Tea Party's more vocal elected members, had this to say of Gingrich when he appeared on the Laura Ingraham radio show recently:

"Gingrich isn’t well regarded among established Republican types, who are fully aware of his propensity for bombast and verbal and political gaffes.

"Nor does it seem like he would do well with the Tea Party crowd, which is skeptical of both long service in Washington and careers in influence peddling."

"There must be an awful lot of misinformed Americans." You damn sure are right about that! The latest study is the 7yh one that proves that statement!

"Why would so many people watch it if it was inferior?" Because Roger Ailes is the best propagandists in history and Rupert Murdock was willing to lose $500+ MILLION while Ailes raised Herr Goebbels' principles to an art form. Media illiterates fell for the BIE LIE technique allowed themselves to be brainwashed.

Fox News Viewers are the Most Misinformed: A Seventh Study Arrives to Prove It — and Vindicate Jon Stewart!

“Two of my most popular posts here at DeSmogBlog were a pair of items documenting 1) just how many surveys have found Fox News viewers to be more misinformed about factual reality and 2) taking PolitiFact to task for giving Jon Stewart a “false” rating when he pointed this out.

Stewart wasn’t wrong, PolitiFact was.

In these pieces, I identified 6 separate studies showing Fox News viewers to be the most misinformed, and in a right wing direction—studies on global warming, health care, health care a second time, the Ground Zero mosque, the Iraq war, and the 2010 election…. More with the sources live linked: http://www.desmogblog.com/fox-news-viewers-ar...

Jon Stewart did acknowledge “While in 2 of the surveys Fox viewers scored the LOWEST, in other polls they were MERELY NEAR THE BOTTOM.”
Steward went on and apolgized for misspeaking. And then went on to roll dozens of Fox LIES, including the 2009 and 2010 ’LIE OF THE YEAR.’

Newt is finished now. The tea party is brain dead violent people who can't think, who want everyone of the 30 million illegals rounded up right now, today, they want every extreme, insane thing on Earth from the candidates, so with Newt saying he would do an amnesty same as him and Reagan did, he is toast now. Newt is a 40 year politician, an old Washington insider. The tea party is supposed to want new people, not old time disgraced Washington politicians that go back to the Reagan and Clinton administrations. That's why Newt was so low in the pools all along. The ONLY reason he went up is because Cain is a total idiot, they have no one, no one, so now they are trying to prop Newt up. The tea party is like anyone but a sane person, anyone but Paul or Romney, anyone nuts and who lies and who is not smart, they have no clue what they want, and, they cannot read people at all. I saw a group of women Iowa voters on Fox last night all saying Cain is decent and tells the truth and is so great. OMG. Cain is a corrupt lobbyist, total phony, and would kill all of them with his huge massive tax increases from 999. See, they can't read anyone, they can't see who people are, and they can't even evaluate the candidates tax plans and figure out those plans harm them greatly. Most of these people should not be voting. It's so sad it's an idiot nation now. The U.S. was nothing like this in the 70s and 80s, even the 90s. Maybe I didn't know about it because I was in San Francisco for 43 years. I never saw a dumb person ever in SF. Now look at this country. I think while I was in SF assuming everyone went to college, that everyone works, that everyone is very smart, the idiots all around the country were multiplying and multiplying, and now we see it on TV, with the tea party. What a massive mess. You can't really fix a dumbed down country. NO way to do so. What a mess.
