I think human nature is inherently tribal, and thus, divisive. I swear, even after these faiths are dead, you'll see people claiming their group is angelic while others are pure evil.

I hold out hope. I think we are moving away from that type of thinking and moving towards a more inherently inclusive human nature.

of course, this would exclude religious cults, but that has been shown to be the best thing a society can do...

Stay away from my guns and I will stay away from your abortion. I carried one for a living for 24 years. I was good at my job!

I never said Islam was a religion of peace. What I don't like is you painting a black and white picture. Christians did incredibly heinous things.
It took Christianity 1,000 years to get its head out of its a*s. When will Islam do the same? We don't have 1,000 years to find out. We are way beyond swords, bows and arrows now!

I like how you're saying this, even though it's common knowledge how the US and the British gave guns to the clan of Saud, and have supported them since. You know them, right? The same people who have used their vast, monetary resources to spread Wahabbi Islam throughout the Muslims world, as our government topples sovereign, moderate governments in favor of dictatorships that better serve our interest?

But only one does the gestating, facing possible risks to life and health, and is the only one legal financially responsible FOR the prenatal visits, and the stay in the hospital for labor/delivery/recovery. Therefore, only that one gets to say if it will continue or not.

So what. It isn't the MAN who gets to make the decision, and thank goodness for that. Since it is the WOMAN who assumes all the health risks and potential threats to her health by carrying a pregnancy to term, it is the WOMAN who makes the decision to continue it or not.

Said the fox in the chicken coop.....

I'm not after your guns, or your right to have one.
Now keep your word, and leave the subject of abortions to the women who have them.

You obviously missed her saying (AND me, in another post), that she doesn't want your guns, BECAUSE SHE HAS HER OWN.

Enough with the stupid assumptions, Ass.

Let me guess you are talking about Iran in '53. Check your history, it wasn't that clean cut and dry.

I guess Operation:Ajax is a liberal myth in your mind? And it reaches so much farther than Iran.

Over whether or not a woman will continue her pregnancy? Damned straight that's what I'm saying.

When he can get pregnant, then HE will get to make that decision for his own pregnancy, and his female partner will be the one who has no say.

If you don't want her to have an abortion, don't get her pregnant.

There's your say-so.
