<quoted text>To answer your question, YES. Even if it's just a one-night hookup and the woman gets pregnant as a result, it is still HER decision whether to continue the pregnancy or not. Your thinking it's stupid is irrelevant.

And yes, you could end up paying child support if she DOES decide to continue it and keep/raise the baby. That's what you get for hooking up with a total stranger, dude. Don't want to cause a pregnancy? Keep your pants zipped.

Motherhood: OPTIONAL, not required.
Dude? You're ASSuming. You probably shouldn't do that. I am not now, nor have I ever been a "dude".
That's hilarious. You think a man should learn to keep his pants zipped, but to expect a woman to keep her legs closed to prevent a pregnancy is hypocrisy!

Personally, I think a man should have the right to request an abortion and be absolved of all financial responsibility for the child if the woman chooses otherwise. Is that a problem or is this just about our obligation to produce workers for the church and state?
I agree. But along with that he would be required to sign papers stating he has no interest in a child if born and if he attempts to make contact he will automatically be subject to child support.

No. That could be turned into a setup and the child could be inclined to seek him out. I'd have to word it so he's not vulnerable to extremists. It's about money and people are just plain bat$hit nutty when anything involves money.

We live in very weird times. The idea is sound though. He forfeits the right to meddle in the child's life.

Judging from what you just wrote, it seems to me that you only want to blame the woman for getting pregnant, and you want the man to get a free pass for GETTING her pregnant. Sorry, I don't give a guy the free pass.

If a guy can't be bothered to ask the woman what she would do if a pregnancy resulted, he only has HIMSELF to blame if she chooses either to abort an unwanted pregnancy or keep a pregnancy later on.

I have no problem with that, either. But you cannot want the man to be able to walk away on one hand, and then insist that your taxes not pay for welfare on the other.
That was a general you, by the way, not knowing your position on the subject of welfare.
Personally, I favor safety net programs like unemployment compensation, but not welfare. It would be hypocritical to be against tax breaks for breeders and approve of it elsewhere.

Our society has become ruthless money grubbers. All social engineering programs have lost their validity. They are now just tools for buying votes and personally, I'm just plain tired of being guilty of being a white male who has chosen to stay single.

There are many charitable causes I support, but I'll never contribute again to the United Way or other havens for politician's wives and retired generals to extract six figure incomes just to steer kickbacks to the right places. They can burn in hell.

How you got that impression, I'll never know. There are two people to blame here.

Yeah, the system is broken. Not that I have any suggestions on how to fix it. Other than shoot all the politicians (a true bipartisan endeavor), but that's just me :)

So you are paying support??
You pay support for the child idiot, not the woman.
So you are admitting that you and the boys have NO self control if a woman wants to fck?? You are out of control? But yet you want control of a woman once pregnant? That makes as little sense as possible.
MANY of your brothers never pay their fair share of child support even when divorced. I know case after case where the woman was and is the full support why the boy/man hides. So please save your whining for your boyfriends.
I am raising my kids! The support I talking about is, having a job, listen to you b*tch about how fat you are, the midnight ice cream run, the hormones etc. I helped make the kid I don't want to be left out on whether it is born or aborted! EVERYBODY wants and loves the Big "O" but nobody wants to clean up after the party! Consequences for your actions, there are always consequences for your actions!

Sure - and it's the kids who get to bear those consequences for the most part, when the parents aren't ready for kids ... but that's fine , because they're nothing more than 'consequences ' themselves.

Your cheap morality leaves a lot to be desired , fella.

Oh, so according to your last statement, a pregnancy IS punishment...for the "Big O," that is. But here's the thing, bud; NO woman has to stay pregnant, give birth, or be a mother unless SHE wants to do so. YOUR wishes and desires don't factor into the equation if the woman DOESN'T want to be pregnant. It's HER body, HER life, HER health, and most importantly, HER decision. Suck it up, LOSER.

Gee, i hope you are not to put out by all the pressure you must have been under with whoever you knocked up. Certainly hope you did not stub your toe running out for ice cream. You could not sound like more of a wuss if you tried.

When you can gestate and give birth you can have a say. Until then you are a side show.

We've covered this : make sure the woman is willing to carry a pregnancy before you have intercourse with her. Men have the final say: before a pregnancy happens.

After a pregnancy happens, the final say on it is hers.

After a CHILD happens, BOTH are responsible.

That's how it works.

You do know that if there were only a dozen men left on earth, women could repopulate this place in a couple hundred years, right?

You need us a hell of a lot more than we need you. Which is the basic reason you want to control our reproductive lives. We know this, you know this, and you're a bunch of scared little boys.

If you want so badly to control a uterus, get your f*ckin' own.

Oh PLEASE. You can whine all you want, I couldn't care less. It is still the WOMAN's decision whether or not to continue a pregnancy, not yours. YOU don't get to decide that for her.

Exactly, but regressive guys like that will probably never take such a sensible precaution. For them, blaming the woman for ANYTHING that goes wrong is a whole lot easier.

Men DON'T have a say so, Moron. None. Nada. Zip. Absolutely 100% NO say whatsoever. Deal with it.
