If republicans "stay the course", they are doomed. When Romney won the nomination, I thought, "Is that all you got?" There are some decent republicans out there. Go find them so we can have a truly balanced government. The republican field for the presidency was disgusting. Could it be that the right person for the job is too smart to apply for it? I sure hope Obama steps up. He at least has potential. Time will tell. Onward through the fog!!

Could the title to this thread by yet another typo? I wondered if a Democratic supporter had meant to type "Stay off Course, Republicans" in the hope that they would continue to inhabit the right fringe of the centre in politics and so avoid being a real threat in 2016.

The circus that was the republican primary while amusing. Left a sour taste behind when one realized that this wast hat was really running. Not one to tier republican was either willing or even wanting to run. Not one out no where republican candidate that might have stood a chance wanted to run.

And now the party is having to decide just what went wrong.

Maybe in the coming election cycles the party might think about adapting. Rather than continue down a road that leads no where and will only result in losing elections and credibility with the voting public.

Sadly many of the republicans that should be stepping up seem to be keeping a low profile. Well except for Governor Chris Christie. but then he is more occupied with getting New Jersey in order more than the problems of the party. Which is probably doing more good as he demonstrates an important fact of political life.

It is not what is best for the party, but the people and country. One can only hope that message will be heard with in the republican/tea party.

Talking about "payback" if the win (and stay in POWER) during an election is a flat-out threat... and real Americans don't take too kindly to threats!

The Presidential Goon Squads and proposed Death Panels don't site quite right with most of us, either >_>

Plus, there are plenty of non-coastal states in which gun owners reside. LOTS AND LOTS OF GUN OWNERS who own (and know how to use) LOTS AND LOTS OF GUNS.

I know what I'll be doing Monday night before the election- cleaning all my guns, organizing my ammo, filling ALL of my magazines to capacity (legal capcity, of course ^_~), and putting my bore site to good use.

I suggest the rest of you Patriots best be doing the same.

I DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING THREATENED - ESPECIALLY BY MY OWN GOVERNMENT!

Praise God that I live in a small redneck town in AZ no one has ever heard of LOL!
