Maybe it's the drinking water in Texas.

Maybe it is the love of the country, and the Constitution that gives Texans the confidence they need to deal with lying liberals. Whatever it is more, and more people are moving to Texas to experience the freedom you can't find n the other 49 states, or is it 56? President Obama can never seem to remember either.

You will fit right in,
In Texas, the fair market rent for a two-bedroom apartment is $872. In order to afford this level of rent and utilities, without paying more than 30 percent of income on housing, a household must earn $34,876 annually. The minimum wage of $7.25 would require a worker to work 93 hours per week to make a two-bedroom affordable, according to the report.
Hope you get a decent job.
Full time minimum wage workers in Texas earn a total of $290.00 per week and approximately $15,080.00 per year (based on a 8 hour days and a 260-day work year) before taxes. The federal poverty threshold for a household of two is $14,570 per year
a war the country has been fighting for nearly 50 years -- the one declared by President Lyndon Johnson in 1964 -- is by far the nation's most prolonged battle, and there is no end in sight.
Johnson, a Texan, recognized when he proposed the "War on Poverty" that the major components needed to win it would be better education, healthcare and social services, with the government playing a major role in each.
If he were alive today, the 36th president probably wouldn't be surprised that poverty in his home state rose for the third consecutive year in 2011, to 18.5 percent -- 3 percentage points higher than the national average, according to U.S. Census figures cited in an Associated Press story Monday.
Two of Texas' fastest growing metro areas have the nation's highest and third-highest percentage of people living in poverty: McAllen-Edinburgh at 37.7 percent and El Paso at 24.7 percent, AP writer Chris Tomlinson reported.
With 4.6 million Texans living below the poverty line, state leaders ought to be escalating the fight against the conditions (such as poor education, inadequate healthcare and joblessness) that entrap people in a constant state of neediness. But instead of focusing on improving all those areas, Texas' governor, lieutenant governor and legislators have severely cut public education and healthcare funding
Texas crime statistics indicate a total upward trend in crime based on data from 11 years when violent crime was decreasing and property crime was increasing.
Based on this report, the crime rate in Texas for 2014 is expected to be higher than in 2010 when the state violent crime rate was higher than the national violent crime rate average by 35.03% and the state property crime rate was higher than the national property crime rate average by 49.92%.
property taxes are among the highest in the nation
The average sales tax in Texas amounts to 8.25 percent.
Texas leads the nation in executions.
Enjoy your stay.

You must be counting the illegal aliens in your poverty umbers/ Texas is creating more jobs then the rest of Obama's nation combined. Or this is another example of Obama numbers like his enrollees in Obamascam. If the President would lie about his visit with the Pope you cannot believe a word out of his mouth. Harry Reid is no better. He is on tape admonishing the Republicans, and now he is denying je said it. It is on tape.

Nope no illegals. Just because they are creating jobs means nothing-these jobs do not bring people out of poverty these jobs create poverty.
Typical republican response--gotta bring President Obama into EVERY conversation.

You might want to tell those folks in San Francisco who are finding it extremely difficult to find rentals because those "freedom loving" folks flock to the City by the Bay and the price of accommodation is off the charts and the demand is high.
Perhaps Perry should try and woo them to the "Loon Star State" over SF. LOLL

Last census Illinois lost one Congressman, because of people taking their money, and going elsewhere, and Texas picked up 2 Congressmen, because people are moving there. They are not moving there to pick veggies. I feel sorry for the people who are being lied to, but the information is out there. You can discover the truth if you choose.

Is that it?? In Hawaii, one of the most left wing kook liberal states in the country, a two bedroom apartment is $1800 and up. You would have to make at least 31.00 an hour to afford it which is why Hawaii has a massive homeless problem and has the highest taxed and highest housing costs in the nation.
Welcome to Paradise.

Texas is a great state to live in. NO state income tax. And they can't stand the IDIOTS in DC. Do you blame them, look at the spineless IDIOT joke of a president we have now.
The only bad thing about Texas is the mexican illegal alien population. Flooded with these ignorant Gov't sucking roaches.

"We are Socialists, we are enemies of the capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions."
