"reluctantly" is the key word. Mitt won't be able to fire up the base giving Obama a second term due to low voter turn out on the Republican side.

A Ron Paul third party run would take enough votes away from Romney to give Obama a clear win in the fall. Obama would probably take 45 states in that scenario.

I don't think they are using strong enough language here. Reluctantly? How about no way in Hell, there is not one single Romney supporter that I have found anywhere down here, no signs, no publications, no snappy catch phrases. Not ONE!!! I have found and know more Obama supporters than Mitt, no one cares about this guy and they are not too fond of the current president either. Many from what I can tell, do not want either one of these let loose on this nation and in Obama's case, again... but hey all the news says is that "he's" the one, "he's" the ONLY one.... go figure.
