Governor Swaggart has too much baggage. As a Texan, he's put his foot in his mouth and cornered himself with previous statements and conduct. Enjoy the headlines while you can get them. Poof.

No joke. Having Perry in would be as bad as having Michelle Bachmann or Sarah Palin. Yikes.

DI, she can call it anything she wants, Perry's going to win the nomination, and I believe if he picks HC as a VP we have a landslide.....Remember the other threads we were on,all the people who said he wouldn't be reelected governor, and he was in a landslide,75% victory. If he picks HC or Marco Rubio for VP, Obama is OUT. Just think back and trust me. We've been riding together for awhile and you know I've been right.

Jack, I wasn't being rude but was just answering the person's inquiry because they thought you were serious that Herman Cain was on the ticket with Perry. Sorry for jumping into the conversation.

As for you thinking Perry will win the nomination, I strongly doubt it.

I think SB called it right about it coming down to Romney-Cain.

I didn't think you were, and I read your post and understand your opinion of Perry. That's fine. DI and I have gone through the 2010 election for Perry with hopes that he would run for president. He's 10th amendent solid, and he can beat Obama. Nothing good is going to happen with Obama in the WH. Perry is the only one that can beat him, and with HC or Marco Rubio, in my opinion it's a done deal.

Thanks Jack. I was worried that you mistook my comment for being rude to you, which wouldn't be the case at all. You're one of the few people on these threads that has been decent with me, my husband, and our friends/relatives. I think I've told you before that I like Marco Rubio too, but he's ruled himself out of running. He said he prefers finishing his term. Maybe he'll change his mind or will run later on.

Yes, we were right about Perry. I won't vote for Cain because he's black and, reminds me of Obama, who lied.
Not sure about Rubio, is the first I've heard of him. I looked him up on wikepedia to get an idea. I know he's not Mexican, he's Cuban. But, he said this:

On Social Security and Medicare, Rubio said, "I believe in America's retirement programs," but they are not sustainable for future generations. "We must embrace public policy changes to these programs." President Obama has said the same thing.
Rubio even echoed Bill Clinton and Al Gore when he said, "We do need a safety net, but it cannot be a way of life."

He was compared to Obama and Clinton. What about that? In the meantime, Perry is leading easily.

Perry, from the first of his policical career was busy following a generally pro-illegal immigrant agenda, helping to supply cheap labor for his rich backers.

Perry has been a strong supporter of benefits for illegal aliens, has opposed efforts to enforce immigration laws, and has supported legalization of illegal aliens.

Gov. Perry proudly touts and defends Texas taxpayer-subsidized in-state tuition program for illegal aliens, which he signed into law in 2001, although only 12 percent of voters nationwide support this program.

And, he has done little to protect local taxpayers and hospitals who shelled out a net $928 million in 2005 for illegal aliens, according to a 2006 study by the Texas Comptroller.

...even though illegal aliens prefer the fraudulently obtained Social Security numbers of children and thus victimize millions of American children, Perry says that E-Verify, which stops virtually 100 percent of job-related child identity theft, "wouldn't make a hill of beans difference."

Gov. Perry pushes back against law enforcement.

Rather than using the 10th Amendment rights he has at his disposal, he calls for federal action to secure the border in order to look like he is doing something while at the same time calling proposals to build a fence along the Mexican border "idiocy."

STOP going to the huffington puffington post-life crap, and media matters not. You're getting your head full of junk. I need your head CLEAR. Forget that junk, and dont go believing in the far-right-winger junk. One believes in total government control and the other would have us in the same dress with the same haircuts marching instep to their jingo.....They are all liars and theives....Washington DC needs to disappear and the federal government needs to also, other than national defense, deals with other countries, and disputes between states.....We live in the computer age. Our government needs to catchup. We have an elected monarchy, and pay them atleast 535 million dollars a year just to live in DC. That's BS.

I know Rubio is not going to do anything in 2012. My deal has been Herman Cain and Rick Perry. I only get mad at CHUMPS. The know-nothing, BS web-site users that try to prove a point with "deflection with communistic intent". You know, the ones who feel so cheated by others who have a life, and they dont because they couldn't unglue their fat-asses from the couch....You know the ones..........

I'm a conservative, and I dropped Perry as a viable GOP candidate b/c of his signing of the DREAM Act for Texas. A true conservative would never have signed that act into law. And then he dares to insinuate that we are heartless?? What a moron.

A true conservative wants common-sense laws, and giving illegal aliens de facto legal access to tax-payer-funded institutions is definitely NOT COMMON SENSE. It's fiscal suicide. Perry cannot be trusted to protect America from the illegal invasion. And the polls all show that. He just dug his own grave. What an idiot.

HEY, PERRY, WHAT PART OF "ILLEGAL" DON'T YOU GET???
