Perry has certainly the best interests of Mexico in mind. Mexico will take over this country without firing a shot. China is taking our money as well. We'll soon be communist mexicans.

Are the borders closed now? No. Did the Obama people find jobs for those in the Unions, etc? Yes. We have allowed these criminals into the country for decades. We have whole cities that dismiss the illigration laws, so Perry will at least attempt to close the borders, patroling them with drones, and that is much more then the Democrats will do. He will also get tough with Employers, and Democrats lead these criminals right to the Unions for membership. Idon't agree with Perry on everything, but he is a damn sight better then what we have now.

Of course he's going to support his pathetic record on immigration, he's running for a higher political office.

Anyone who can condone his avid support of illegal aliens & his rolling out the welcome mat for illegals (much like Obama), and ultimately telling Americans that illegal aliens are valued more will vote for him. Those opposed to open borders, the illegal invasion, illegals getting in-state tuition, illegals being able to obtain state driver's licenses, or opposed to all politicians weak on immigration will NOT vote for Perry. It's just that simple.

Well, at least on this issue he had the balls to call it like it is and with 1/4 of the State of Texas today being Hispanic, what else can he do...in my book on this issue he is the only one that makes sense...the rest of the bunch are just throwing red meat to the Republican far right...but their stance wont stand in the general election...

The one who has trouble with immigration laws is the Commander in Chief. He, himself is an immigrant, as is his auntie, and uncle. Perry looks like a genius next to the President there now.

I was just looking up Tx instate tuition when I came across a RP veto for illegals to get driver's licenses in Texas. Imagine that. With all the whining about Perry, illegals dont get drivers licenses here.

Perry is done. The media and the Republican Party are still pushing him but the cat is out of the bag. He is just another Bush clone.

My daughter went to Texas to a Graduation a couple years ago. When they were parking their car an illegal alien hit them in the rear end, pulled around the car, and took off, so they followed her, calling the police, and giving them their locality, and after awhile the woman pulled over. She had a phony driver's license, but no insurance. They took her into custody, and towed her car. No one knows or cares what happened to her after that, except they said she would be deported. So yes they have driver's license, and with that they can get I D, and voters registration cards, what ever they want. They are a ;ot more savvy about carrying their I Ds with them.

As a last resort, yes, but it wouldn't be much of an improvement since he's a RINO.

John McCain would have been an improvement over the man in the Oval Office right now. Even liberals, ie., the lady from vanity Fair, are admitting he is a major mistake. Too late.

You said: "I don't agree with Perry on everything, but he is a damn sight better then what we have now."

Funny. That the same sort of sentiments that got us Obama and look where we are today. Personally, I expect better from our Presidential candidates. I won't accept that "better than nothing" stance anymore.

Perry will get tough on Employers? How so? Penalties and Taxes again? I can't argue that getting tough on employers is a bad thing, however, why is the burden always on the American citizen? Is he really planning to deport the illegal? Fine the illegal?

I want to hear first and foremost what he plans to do with the illegals, not what he plans to do to Americans who have the misfortune of dealing with these invaders.

As for "attempting" to close the borders, that's nothing but politics. He will either close it or he won't. There is no "attempt" to it.
