Bredesen reviewing budget
Gov. Phil Bredesen said Monday he is reviewing the final version of the $30 billion annual spending plan passed by the lawmakers to see if he will exercise his line-item veto.

someone needs to do something about this issue they are way over staffed and sucking up money that could be used some where else.... like the money that goes for foodstampe and these people in greene county sales/ trades for drugs.. or whatever thrills them at that time

They are not overstaffed when it comes to direct care staff. They are short in every home out there. He needs to realize that there are PT OT medical staff clerical staff rec staff teaching staff. They don't need to cut direct care. You have no clue!

Their cuts need to start way higher than direct care,they have PT, OT and three bosses on one shift expenditures that are not needed over cost for their supplies This state makes me ashamed for anyone to no where I work!!

It's not going to get any better under Haslam. He's a staunch fiscal conservative, so I doubt he's going to place priority on one institution in NE Tenn. over the state's budget-at-large.
