Typical liberal progressive democrat "Bredesen said it is important for the governor to oppose attempts to loosen Tennessee's gun control laws, even if a majority of lawmakers favor them."

So if the ELECTED (by the people) representatives of the people, voting on behalf of the people decide an issue and the Governor doesn't like the way the vote goes then just veto it in spite of the fact that the will of the people as been expressed.

Once again, TYPICAL LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE democrat, to hell with what the people want I KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR THEM.

Now let me see.... hmmmm... do gun registration laws actually PREVENT thugs, criminals, or gangsta wannabes from carrying a concealed weapon? NO

Do bad guys go register and get carry permits in order to carry those semi- and full- auto firearms? NO

Who is the target of registration then? Bad Guys? NO

Not really sure what is being accomplished by the gun registration laws anyway.

They can't do anything about criminals and negligent people, so they might as well go after the hard working, honest taxpayers.

Yeah, its kind of like the guns in parks mess. I guess since there's a law against having guns there, the thugs always leave them at home, huh?
