A lot of 'religious organizations' are going to haiti with donated money which would have been better spent here in the united states.
Before you blame the government look at the audits from TN regarding Medicare. The state was told twelve years ago, every year for five years, that they have to shape up, keep better records, stop using unlicensed doctors, using unlicensed pharmacies even! One place had a pharmacy on the premises and, it was said, the 'patients' filled their rx's then went to the parking lot and sold them right there. All public records are available for anyone to see. TN.Gov or TennesseeAnytime will take you to anything you want to know. The people who dispursed medicaid funds were warned so often you could sense the irritation in the report, "as I said the last year, and before that and before that..." Finally they were told the money WOULD be taken if they could not handle it responsible and stop "losing" records. It's not the federal government, who provides plenty of funds, but your skimming, middlemen 'officials' on the take.
