This is another example of the "shell games" being played by people opposed to the death penalty.
Bredesen knows full well that his reducing the sentence to LWOP will NOT stand. The murder that Harbison comitted was in 1983 and the LWOP statute went into effect in 1995.
Harbison's lawyers will appeal his LWOP sentence based on "ex post facto" and they will win and he will be released.
Bredesen is a liar and he knows it.
