GOP leaders won't back cable TV tax
Tennessee Republican legislative leaders said Thursday they're opposed to Gov. Phil Bredesen's proposal to tax cable TV to save some government jobs and pay for higher education.

They don't get it...I would like to charge all my past customers more. They should pay for todays short fall on sales. Oh we can't do that.... bend over here they come.

Yes, no more taxes! Who cares if adding $1.00 to our cable bill will save the jobs of 1,363 of mothers and fathers trying to support and care for their family. We don't need foresters to fight wildfires, let the woods burn! Higher education, who needs it? Children? Let them take care of 'emselves! Law Enforcement? I say every man for himself! How dare Bredesen ask me to pay $1 more for my cable to help the people who help our communities?
COME ON PEOPLE! It's $1 that the state is being sued for anyway!!! Let's look at the bigger picture.
