Jesus was under the Law. According to the Law, a woman caught in adultery should be stoned to death. The legalistic Pharisees brought the woman to Jesus and wanted her stoned to death. Instead Jesus showed her mercy and forgave her.
Did Jesus sin because He failed to do what the Law commands?
Or did He obey a higher Law when He choose to show mercy?
