I never had time for a condom and pills, but I had two wonderful children by tenth grade. I love them so much that I do not regret having them.

Don't get me wrong, this is a very good thing – I mean imagine the concept, teaching birth control as part of sex education! Wow how forward thinking. But seriously, my wife and I took it upon ourselves to do sex added and birth control with our daughters just about the time they turn 12. Are one daughter is now 14, the other one coming up behind her is 9 and while not having had the more in-depth talk yet, the little one is aware of birth control and the concept of what it's for. The older girl is getting to the point where she's going to want the wife to take her into the gyno and get an IUC put in (a lot of people say IUD) when she become sexually active with boys, instead of just toys. Yes a lot of people will start screaming that this is too young to let them have sex, but the reality is – no one "lets them have sex" – they're just going to do it because people will do what people will do, and like it or not that is the age for those things start happening. Parental denial does not change facts! I think it's irresponsible with parents to let daughters reach that age and rely on being taught about it at school with what the state and the school board think is appropriate. Out of such negligence, comes unwanted grandchildren!

I remember when people knew they weren't supposed to brag about this. Knowing isn't exactly a common thing in America anymore since people became tv and food addicts.
