Jim Clyburn has been known to invoke comparisons to the Jim Crow South when:
- his sandwich from Subway didn't have enough meat in it
- his limo driver showed up 5 minutes late
- he didn't like the ending of "The Hunger Games"
- he didn't get to sit in the front row at the State of the Union address
- visiting foreign dignitaries don't know who he is
- nobody pays any attention to his long-winded speeches
