I have had the experience of working in healthcare for several years, and I have witnessed so many individuals of varying lifestyles, occupations and ethnicities present at our local hospital for emergency services, so many of them hesitant, yet some of them waiting too long to seek treatment. There were countless numbers who gave the familiar statement, "I don't have any insurance". Unfortunately, some of them would later pass away suddenly with an unexpected heart attack from untreated heart disease, or suffer a fatal respiratory attack. Lack of insurance carries an enormous human toll. There is no budget more precious than a human life. The governors that refuse the medicaid expansion are no more than murderers who are willing to let their constituents die just to save a few dollars.
