Nikki Haley appointed Rep. Tim Scott to the U.S. Senate on Monday, making him the South's first black Republican senator since Reconstruction in a state whose politics is steeped in the history of slavery and Civil War.

Well let’s see how long it takes for this token to dance a Minstrel Show jig… we got rid of Herman Cain… and I am overjoyed with the results of Allen West’s election here in Florida… but we’ll see the bigots in South Carolina vote this Uncle Tom out… ‘they likes their politicians White’.
