Hundreds of new jobs coming to Murray County
Gov. Nathan Deal recently announced that Engineered Floors, LLC, a Dalton-based carpet maker, will invest $450 million and create 2,000 new jobs, with the potential for hundreds more, over the next five years in northwest Georgia.

Start preparing the trailer lots - alert the Dollar Stores. Just what Merry County needs - more low level, hourly textile jobs.

That's what the sweatshop workers say in China - the ones that don't jump out the windows of their dorms. Murray County could have been so much more than the trailer park with the best views in the state - but it's too late now - too close to the carpet capital of the world, another unnecessary tragedy...
