Group: Indiana Guard chief promoted religion

The head of the Indiana National Guard says he made a video promoting an evangelical Christian group because it helps soldiers who struggle with their marriages after coming home from war.

How dare anyone promote religion in our country.
We are doing just fine with our culture.
We like seeing our bones dissolve in sulfuric acid.

“As a private person, he can endorse anything he wants,” said Don Guter, who dealt with ethics issues as the 37th judge advocate general of the Navy from 2000 to 2002. But, Guter added,“by using his title, wearing his uniform — that’s what makes it a problem.”
Keep this religious nonsense out of our Gvmt.

This guy wore his uniform while making a 33 second video that was posted on the website of a Christian non-profit org. The video was not distributed to National Guardsmen while they were on duty.
I agree that he should not have worn his uniform while making the video, but the whole thing seems to be a tempest in a teapot.
