California Latinos await action from Jerry Brown

The bill has already been approved – and vetoed – four times. But California's Latino Legislative Caucus expects it to become law next year when Gov.-elect Jerry Brown takes office.

California,

You are all Doomed...

Your Governor is going to give away all your children's education dollars to the children of illegals. Children of American Citizens will be denied college tuition assistance while children of illegal immigrants get free money to stay here illegally.

What to say...? You elected him.....

Interesting story...

Latinos knew that electing Brown would insure that illegals interests would trump citizen families best interests at all costs.

There's an African-American in the woodpile. Read this from the article: "
"In its current form, the bill would let undocumented college students apply for financial aid from a pool of money that is private but administered by state colleges and universities."
Private money? It's All Private Money? I don't believe it.

no catering to Latinos

Citizens and legal Immigrants come first!

We do NOT need anymore unskilled labor, users
and abusers in CA
anything else is treason!

The focus should be on how to erase Latino Gangs!
from our communities and military
since they are a security risk on both ends

The recent elections prove that CA voters of Hispanic descent have no pride in their citizenship. How sad for us all.

Why are we granting a free college education to illegals, when they're prohibited from getting a job later because they lack legal work permits?

Yet thousands of American kids, who want to go to college and who want to work their way through, are turned away.

This policy is just stupid.

Watch, Jerry Brown is going to do the same thing for latinos that he did for blacks in Oakland...NOTHING! He sold Oakland out to corporations and businesses. Oakland remains the same, oh, by bad, no is doesn't, there is little to no police enforcement, major cuts.

Latinos seem to think that because they voted for someone, that candidate has to do everything that they ask of him, especially when it comes to what latinos want. There is no consideration for the whole of the nation, just latinos. This is serious, we must put a stop to it, our politicians march in line. We must remind them that a vote for things like the Dream Act is serveral votes lost from your base.

Amazing, California has special funds set aside for illegal aliens to attend college. Yet, they go into the whole for over a billion dollars a month. California has become pro illegal alien, and un American. It's as though the only way for us to produce college educated children is through illegal aliens...if you listen to their rhetoric.

HELL NO ON DREAM ACT!!!!! Let Califorina take care of them...

Private funds my a***. As he said, the bill in its current form uses private funds. This, to me, means that as soon as you get on board, let's go for the federal financial aid. The arrogance!

Let's let California starve. Let's boycott California! Not another dime of my tax money!!! No federal aid!!!! They aren't doing anything to save themselves, just catering to illegal aliens. As they say, illegal aliens boost the economy, well, let's give California a chance to prove it! You Mexicans who say you are here to stay and aren't going anywhere, you Mexicans who say you only want to contribute your talents and skills to America that you love, here is your chance...Save California. As it stands, you are killing it!

It is very frusturating to live in beautiful Cali as a legal citizen.
This state is worth saving!!!!
Not everyone in Cali hires illegal labor
Our local government is selling us out
Illegals do not boost the economy, they suck it dry like ticks
on a dog
It is time to apply some remedies to get rid of them!

Not all; I didn't vote for Brown.

I am first generation American. My parents came from Mexico with visas in hand and worked hard to become U.S. Citizens. They made ours an English speaking home, worked and paid taxes and never, never expected hand-outs from any one. They were proud and grateful for the privilege to vote. My father fought in WWII and both of my parents said that the happiest day of their lives was the one when they became U.S. Citizens.

They worked hard all their adult lives to become Americans. They taught my siblings and me to work hard for what we want, abide by the law and be responsible for our actions.

My parents were so ashamed of the Mexicans who came here only to work the system and take advantage of programs meant to help those truly in need.

I am proud of the legacy my parents left for their family.

My parents taught me that the true Mexican heritage is devotion to God and family, work hard to provide for your own, obey the law, repay your debts and be a responsible citizen.

We made the free choice to surrender by electing Brown.
Quit whining. No one in any other American State would have trusted something like Jerry Brown to be worthy of dog catcher.
