why would they do that?
why would you think gov assisted medical care is bad?
why are you willing to pay a hospital $1,300 a day for in patient care?
why does an MRI cost $4000?
why does 30 minute knee surgurey cost $18,000?
why do you think the medical system as it is, is working?
how do you tell someone that they can't have an abortion, and they can't have financial help to have the baby?
how do you tell a person in an accident sorry you can't afford to be saved here?

medical care is something the goverment should provide for all of it's people. a healthy workforce makes a good economy.

Gov. Fallin went to Washington asking for Oklahoma to receive a $54.6 million grant to set up its state-based health care exchange system. Then she returns to OK and the Tea Party legislators throw a fit and she has to turn it down. To bad she doesn't mention that she still has to abide by the law but won't have the funds from the government to fund it. Oklahoma still has to comply. What will they do?

Well they will have to take more money from education. Less cops and firemen. Close libraries. Great job teabaggers, they only care about fetuses, they don't care about you.

What other stupid legislation can they write. Are they going to take another shot at Sharia?

Oklahomans you suffer more at the hands of the Tea Party than what you will ever suffer at the hands of any jihhadists.

Did you hear that the Republicans in Congress want to end Medicare and Medicaid? No assisted living or nursing homes for you. Good luck.

I don't think they want to end anything. The handwriting is on the wall. And frankly only cops and firemen in busy areas actually earn the wages and benefits given today. Their to expensive. Just like the teachers. We have been fooled. Those things you mentioned are still running in Cadillac mode. The rest of the private sector is in Chevy mode. Medicaid needs total overhaul. Medicare needs to have the corruption removed from it.

Yes your right to a point the government should supply good quality medical help to all Americans but not this insurance company bailout the Obama sighed into law.

It is frustrating that stupid people like you have to be taken by the hand when buying a used car from a plaid-suited crook of a salesman.

If every American citizen is given Government Health Care, who pays for it? People like you seem to think that the Easter Bunny leaves it in your basket. We ALL pay for it, stupid. No? You say that we should tax the wealthy people and the corporations? Listening to King Obama is bad for your health. As a percentage of our population, revenue from the "wealthy" is a spit in the bucket. Revenue from corporations will be simply money redirected from increased consumer prices -- so a tax increase on those evil corporations becomes a higher price in the supermarket. D-u-h-h! You just paid that tax, stupid. Plus, the inflationary effect will also have to be paid for by us. There is no way around this issue - if you want National Health Care, you WILL pay for it directly and indirectly. The SCOTUS will have to determine whether or not the President and Congress can force a citizen to purchase something they didn't ask for. Actually, citizens are being forced to pay a huge tax increase under the guise of something called "humanitarianism".

Wake up and smell the BS.

Early on, even during the last Presidential Campaign, Obama was claiming that he could make a case for funding National Health Care solely from cost savings garnered from austerity measures. This alone was pure BS and a lot of critics called him on the carpet for lying. Bur King Obama is still trying to use this cost-cutting idea to get free money for National Health Care and it is still today just as stupid an idea as it was way back there.

What makes it even more of a lie is how he is playing politics with seniors and Medicare:

"HHS' nearly $7-billion bonus program is temporary. In 2015, the cuts called for in the health care law will kick in again.

From The Star Tribune: http://www.startribune.com/local/120214624.ht...

Headline - Political motive seen as HHS expands quality bonuses to health plans facing election-year cuts.

"Still, the episode could be an early sign that Medicare cuts used to finance much of Obama's coverage expansion for the uninsured will turn out to be politically unsustainable, as have other efforts to impose austerity. For example, Congress has routinely waived cuts in Medicare payments to doctors."

So...he wants to cut medical spending, eh? Not at this political moment he doesn't. He is using your tax dollars to fund his re-election campaign. Obamacare is a huge lie. People who have been suckered by Obamacare are the same ones who fall for those late-night TV Ads offering "Free" stuff - if you order within the next 5 minutes!

The long list of Obama's broken promises is growing daily. He increases troops to Afghanistan after promising to end the war. Then he declares we'll be out by the middle of 2011. Right now, that's not going to happen in anyone's political book.

He has bad-mouthed the "Big Corporations" for a long time only to hire the head of GE into his team of White House Financial Advisers. GE paid NO TAXES last year.

American business knows that Obama is bad news for America. Obama's first campaign stop? Hollywood and SF where the big mouths with big money live in a state that is $32 Billion in debt.

They were made for each other.

Oh really!
Actually, they pay lots of taxes -- just not lots of federal income taxes.
Data from the Tax Foundation shows that, in 2008, the average income for the bottom half of taxpayers was $15,300.
This year, the first $9,350 of income is exempt from taxes for singles and $18,700 for married couples, just slightly more than in 2008. That means millions of the poor do not make enough to owe income taxes.
But they still pay plenty of other taxes, including federal payroll taxes. Between gas taxes, sales taxes, utility taxes and other taxes, no one lives tax free in America.
When it comes to state and local taxes, the poor bear a heavier burden than the rich in every state except Vermont, the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy calculated from official data. In Alabama, for example, the burden on the poor is more than twice that of the top 1 percent. The one-fifth of Alabama families making less than $13,000 pay almost 11 percent of their income in state and local taxes, compared with less than 4 percent for those who make $229,000 or more.

Go to college, get an education, spend evenings an weekends working on lesson plan and grading paper, then spending the Summers upgrading your skill that are mandated by the district at your expense. I wonder if your job skills are undervalued too. If you have any.
