Nature does what nature will. Prayers have no effect whatever. Talk about a waste of time. It won't hurt, but it doesn't help either. The time might be better spent checking on elderly neighbors or taking the family to a pool or cool movie or mall. When I hear stupid stuff like this coming from the governor's office makes me wonder what the next step will be. I know... a rain dance!

The God of Heaven who created "nature" and everything else DOES hear and answer prayer. II Chronicles 7:14 declares: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

You don't think healing the land includes bringing much needed rain that God's children pray for? You can be glad that the same Holy Bible declares that the rain falls on the Unjust as well as the Just. You will enjoy the fruits of God's childrens' prayers.....so be thankful SOMEBODY is praying. While you are at it, ask God to forgive you of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and then you too can enjoy eternity with Him.

I think I remember reading that the first circumcisions where a sacrifice for rain. Are we to the point that we are ready to sacrifice. It would be nice if our governor would remember that not all the people she represents are christian and perhaps invite the rest of us in an experiment to see if we can perhaps bring a hurricane this way with the power of the mind. That is what it will take to satisfy everyone and not make some fill like they are less favored by Jesus or God. Don't you love it when an athlete wins an event and declares to the world that Jesus,(God),was with them. I will meditate but I have been doing that, perhaps the 3 churches around me are blocking my mind rays from getting to Higher Consciousness, perhaps I can sneak through while they are praying and then they will take credit, owell. I have also read that the Hopi do make it rain but they know when the conditions are right and all that is needed is a little nudge. When I lived out in the country years ago and we went long spells without rain,I would dance naked in the yard when it did come.Perhaps that is what we all should do if we make it rain, the Oklahoma naked dance of rainjoy.
