If Texas wants the water, just annex them. They can have all they want.

The water belongs to all citizens of the US,not just Oklahoma. You see it is the United States of America not the United State of Oklahoma.

Federally recognized tribes are sovereign nations by law, so technically the water is not in the United States.

FACT, down here in TEXAS, there has been a plan for years,1987, that was past in texas for the plan to build and capture water in lakes for future years. yet nothing has been done to build those lakes nor any planning ofr the future-- water is the future of growth in any state. For without water there can be no futrue for peopulation growth nor industrialization growth. There must also be highways built for the transport of the products manfactured. So if you sell your water you are selling your future. You will soon be needing all the water you can put into your lakes. the same is needed here in TEXAS. WATER IS THE FUTURE OF ANY STATE--NO WATER, NO FUTURE. ONCE SOLD ON CONTRACT YOU HAVE SOLD YOUR FUTURE

The tribal water and the American Native sacred sites are as sacred as the VA National Cemetery and the 1830 federal treaty, granting the water rights within the tribal land.

"Cherokee Indians say they will not be dictated to
by U.S
Reuters By Steve Olafson/Reuters-12 hrs ago.

OKLAHOMA CITY (Reuters) After the Civil war, in which the Cherokee fought for the South, a treaty was signed in 1866 guaranteeing tribal citizenship for the freed slaves.

The African Americans lost their citizenship last month when the Cherokee Supreme court voted to support the right of tribal members to change the tribes Constitution on citizenship matters."-

The Cherokee nation have every right to improve and protect their people and Reservation by the Constitution, and to sell the water on/in the boundaries of the Reservation and to benefit, like any other state.

In 1868 the 14th amendment Equal Protection of Law was passed, not only for the African Freemen, it also included the Cherokee nation.

The Cherokee nations Reservation deals with the Cherokee, and not to meet the needs of the African freedmen or the white American, these individuals do not protect the rights of the Cherokee Reservation.

Aliens have to prove they are an American, and the African Freedmen may have to prove they are Cherokee.

Is it illegal for a non-Cherokee to vote on the Cherokee reservation?
