You wouldn't know what a failed policy was unless you heard it from someone else. A liberal mind is so open it is like the power river, a half mile wide and an inch deep. A liberal mind is so open and shallow, anything can come in.

What in the world do you think helped to slow these problems? As people become more educated, the birth rate falls. Silent spring helped to slow the agribusiness application of harmful pesticides slowing the destruction of the environment. A global cooling earth was never a broadly recognized projection by the scientific community, but some of the RW deniers are trying to resurrect the scare to say that global warming is over....
To state that global warming is a left-winged propaganda tactic is simply a projection of RWN propaganda. This is tantamount to saying that science is a liberal institution. What garbage. What I see is that anything that does not promote the RWN agenda is labeled "liberal". If that is so, I am proud to be a "liberal" by that definition...
As far as the cleanup of atmospheric pollution as well as our lakes and streams, it was largely the result of environmentalists working to clean them up. The RW market economy will not do these things because there is no immediate profit for doing so.
A liberal philosophy does not mean a move towards total socialism as the RWN propagandize, but a move to an openness to admit that there are things that the market will not address. This must be approached in a democratic manner to try to make the social and environmental conditions more conducive to the human condition. If you don't understand that, you are polarized in a rightwinged mentality that is not able to understand a changing world.
Keep it up. If you couldn't blame everything you didn't like on "RWN propaganda" you would be an unhappy soul. Oh BTW, it sounds like you are an unhappy soul.

Rick op,

You don't seem to be grumpy at all to me. Grumpy is much shorter than you.

But I have no idea how you will ever deal with Patriot's cutting edge humor.

Rick op, you must be devistated by his comment.

He was in that Global Warming thread for soooo very long, and wrote the same ol' thing over, and over, and over and.........He must be bored, because he is now trying to pick fights with you in here and me on another thread.

In fact, I never even give him a FIRST thought, much less a second, but he has been comming into a couple of threads and doing a little bobbing and weaving as he throws jabs that never connect.

He is a pretty feeble opponent, and at least right now, I have no interest in do a back and forth with him.

I think I would rather go watch two guys fish.

Rick op,

Yeah, Prof. Ehrlichs, "Population Bomb," was a dud!

You had to love is gloom and doom preface line:

"The battle to feed all of humanity is over."

He penned those words in 1968, forty-one, countem'(41) years ago.

And all of humanity is being fed still.

But they still want to keep people on the edge of the seat, thinking woe is me, woe is me, life as we know it is over.

Can anyone say the word - HOAX??????

Rick op,

I wrote you a while back and said:

"He (patriot) is a pretty feeble opponent,"

Then I read a recent post of his about me, and he used the word, FEEBLE, as in feeble Tom.

The guy can't even come up with an original thought.

It's sad what age does to one's mind.

He's older than you Rick.

The other day I saw another post of his and it said:
"I don't think anyone should be.."

He lost his train of thought mid-sentence.
I was sad.

LOL NOT!!
