They had to look far and wide to find anyone to speak well of Sebelius. The only good thing about her nomination is that we are rid of her.

WOW, I just checked, and the 2007 population numbers of Olathe, Kansas indicates 118,034 people reside in that great little bedroom community.

And out of 118,034 people, the writer of this article found, and I quote:

"SEVERAL Olathe residents were proud Monday after Gov. Kathleen Sebelius was formally nominated by President Barack Obama as Health and Human Services secretary."

THERE YOU GO!!! SEVERAL WERE FOUND.

You have to admit, that finding several out of over 118,000 is weally impwessive. NOT!!!!!

What a joke sold-out journalism has become.

lol!

Ah well.....I hear that some Kansas journalists are concerned about the fate of the Democratic Party, now that their leader has gone off into the sunset..

I'd be somewhat pleased with that fact, if so many of the Conservatives we thought we voted in, were not what we bargained for. They're not all bad, but honestly, they could start voting more like Conservatives instead of covering their butts and voting for Sebelius' appt.

As a life long leftist I cannot understand the provincial mentality of conservatives. I wish someone could clearly explain why anyone would choose to be conservative (& be proud of it). I see them as narrow minded & shallow. What are conservatives afraid of?

Of course she'd have your support, despite the fact that she's done a horrible job with the state of Kansas and it's economy.

And to your question.......

What are 'Leftists' afraid of?

I am a registered Democrat who refused to vote for a left wing socialist for President. You people voted this guy in. He has reduced this country to bankruptcy. Obama positioned himself to the middle politically, to trick many conservative Democrats, Independents, and unhappy Republicans into thinking he was an agent of positive Change for America. Well, I saw through this farce from the beginning. Obama has put us more in debt in these past few weeks, than Bush did in 8 years. I only hope there is a USA left at the end of his 4 year term, for the country to vote this Jimmie Carter wannabe out of office.

Yo Tony_Q,
Your comments about conservatives are interesting.
I think it's ammusing how people, who hold to different ideologies, feel about those who are polar opposites.

I was reading that, looking at your pic, thinking just how creepy you are.
I'm serious.
I was kinda like, making that face, shaking everything above the waiste, and making the sound, eeeeeeeeeewwwww! Yikes.
You see, as a life long conservative I cannot understand the, "We are the world, we are the children," attitude, or the pompous, arrogant expressions of the extreme far left-wing liberals. I wish someone could clearly explain why anyone would choose to be a leftist/socialist (& be proud of it). I see them as intolerant, hateful & oppresive. What are Liberals afraid of?
You see my point? Of course you do.

Toni,

Obama in just 6 short weeks has done everything I despise.
From funding abortions overseas, to providing even more funding for a large corporation, like Planned (Kill the kid, so I don't have to be a parent) Parenthood, to reversing the prohibition on stem-cell research, to getting ready to change the, "don't ask, don't tell," policy of he military to push for a military where Americans can be free to be openly gay.

And that's just a few. I am convinced this guy is evil personified.

He has no class, which was illustrated by the way he treated Gordon Brown from England.
He was clearly rude to our ally.

British Headlines are reporting Obama does not like the British.
And he gives them good reason to think that.
And all you libveral faggots accused Bush of ruining our reputation overseas? That's just epic.

It's clear those on Wall Street continue to react adversely to everything President Clown says. And the numbers keep going down, down, down,- down, down, down,- down, down, down,.........

But he will continue to blame everything on Bush.
What a clown we have for a president.

Hey Sebelius can sell out the U.S. Tax Payers just as good as Obama, Biden, and Pilosi has to special entrust groups. Just so she does'nt come back to Kansas. Besides Obama owes her, all she has done the last two years is travel around on our dime to get Obama elected.

I agree with you totally. I am not the lefty Tony Q. I am a conservative Democrat(Toni), who voted for McCain because of his sound judgment on pork spending, national security, leaving Iraq with honor. I saw Obama for the left wing radical he is quite some time ago. Sadly, over 50% of Americans were fooled by his empty platitudes of "Change", "Hope". This was a staged candidacy by George Soros money and the far left who has been planning this day for 30 years. Along with the left wing media, they created the facade of "Camelot" re-visited. Obama is a socialist, all his protest otherwise are untrue. He was schooled in Hawaii by Frank Marshall Davis. Davis was a black poet, card carrying Communist who the FBI watched for 20 years. Obama was introduced to Davis by his grand-father who felt he needed a black mentor since his father walked away from him when he was 2 years old. Davis advised him to go to the mainland to further his goals. Obama admits in one of his books to all this, and that he dabbled in Communist literature with Davis. He was not vetted, so most Americans don't have a clue what they elected. The socialist movement is in Obama's DNA, he is comfortable with Sal Alinsky style socialism. That is the methodology he was instructed in Chicago as a "community organizer". "You can get worse than you got", as the saying goes. And we have!

Hey the job Pelosi and Obama are doing they will all be out of a job in 3 1/2 years. Vote Third Party next four years when you can. Send them all home. Both parties have sold out the U.S. Tax Payers/Workers for years to specail entrust groups. Obama and Biden took more money from the banks we are bailing out then anyone in Washington. Not bad for Obama only being in Washington for two years at the time. Sebelius will fit right in Obama's corrupt cabnet.

Well, there you go.

Although I'm not a Republican, I think I know enough about the Republican party to say if you speak for the Leftists in this country, I do hope your numbers are small considering your paranoia.

Trisha, most "leftists" are twice as bigoted as those they call bigots. Just mention the word Christian to one of them and see how fast his face turns beet red. And yes, their numbers are quite small. Most liberal minded people would cringe to be alligned with one like Tony Q.

Take your provincial lefty ass out of the USA. Go see Hugo Chavez or "Akme" the rat bastard in Iran. Bring George Soros the Billionaire financier of Obama with you too. This creep was a collaborator with the Nazi's in WWII. And now he's behind Obama Socialist goals. I come from a family of long time Democrats. The present Democratic Party is Not the Party of my grandparents and parents. You loser lefty's have reduced the party to nothing more than a joke. You are not anywhere close to the caliber of the likes of FDR, Truman, John Kennedy. None of these men would claim you or the Socialist Obama. If you think so, read up on their thoughts, and deeds. Compare their acts, achievements, policies, with what Obama has reduced this country to in less than 100 days. The stark reality of non comparison is so apparent.

Geez, I'm surprised by how mean-spirited this forum has become. I wanted a place to express opinions, read what others are saying & just kvetch. Yet I've been personally attacked; called a creep, told to get out of the USA. We've forgotten that this country was founded on tolerance for different points of view. I apologize if I've insulted folks of such high moral standards. Maybe I'll just post on Jazz, literature & arts; I hope they are more open-minded.*
