*Amy Little was fired as a campaign adviser to Rep. John Hall (D-NY) after it was revealed that she had voted in Ohio, despite a residence in NY and intentions to return to NY.

Michael Stinziano, Director of the Franklin County Board of Elections, said he expects there may be more such outcomes since his office referred more allegations to the prosecutor.

"A former Democratic county chairman in northern Indiana is among four people charged in what authorities say was a scheme to forge signatures on petitions to place the party’s presidential candidates on the 2008 primary ballot.

The St. Joseph County prosecutor’s office filed felony conspiracy to commit forgery and other charges against 63-year-old Butch Morgan on Monday. Three former workers in the county voter registration office face forgery and other charges.

WSBT-TV reports that the three other workers have been identified as Pam Brunette, Dustin Blythe and Beverly Shelton."

"From the Columbus Dispatch, three staffers for Vote Today Ohio have plead guilty to illegally registering and voting in Columbus during the so-called Golden Week - a seven day period when Ohio residents could register to vote and cast a ballot at the same time.

This will likely be a footnote it what was a monumental disaster perpetrated by the Ohio Secretary of State and supporters of Barack Obama. But it highlights three important realities:

The extreme vulnerability of Election Day Registration
The enormous influence one highly partisan election official can have on the process
The need to invest in ballot security programs

For those who have forgotten, Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner unilaterally re-interpreted Ohio Election statutes governing the overlap of the voter registration deadline and the start of early vote to create a de-facto seven day window of Election Day Registration whereby residents could fill out an application and immediately cast a vote.

She ordered the unprepared and understaffed County Election Boards to set-up voting centers that would ensure a massive turnout. Then Brunner amazingly banned all pollwatchers from the vote centers. Chaos without witnesses.

Many County Election Boards balked and the Ohio Republican Party unsuccessfully sued to stop her, but it was too late.

From the beginning, stories of fraud and misconduct were widely reported. The Obama Campaign, ACORN, Vote Today Ohio, and Vote From Home were all linked to voter fraud during Golden Week."

republicans hate to see poor people turn out at the polls because they know it won't bode well for them if they do.Between redistricting and changing voting laws republicans are hell bent on keeping people away from the polls.

“Golden Week” ended October 6, 2008, in Ohio. And if Barack Obama wins Ohio narrowly in November, it may be because of what happened that week. It should also be a reminder of how messy our elections can be. John Fund has noted in the update to his book on election fraud, Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy, that the problems of 2000 have not been significantly addressed. A close presidential election that turns on the kinds of issues that arose in Ohio would further delegitimize our democratic system.

Golden Week ran from September 30 to October 6, when Ohio voters could register and vote on the same day. During this time, Democrats organized an extensive “get out the vote”(GOTV) effort. The Obama campaign sent an email to their national list urging supporters to call potential voters, referring to it as “our best shot in Ohio.” Three thousand voters cast votes in this period.

Details count for both election day and election days operations. And the details of Golden Week should raise questions about how election officials are running elections — and how outside groups are running their GOTV operations.

But first, a little history. In 2005, the Republican-controlled legislature passed, and the Republican governor signed, legislation that allowed for “no-fault absentee” voting in person, starting five weeks (35 days) before election day. From then on, Ohio voters would be able to vote at one location in each county. In 2006, early voting took place without a hiccup. In 2006, Democrat Jennifer Brunner was elected secretary of state.

Secretaries of state have real power. That’s why a group of progressives started the Secretary of State Project to elect more partisan Democratic secretaries of state. They targeted Ohio and supported Brunner. And Brunner delivered Golden Week."

"The radical activist group ACORN “works” for the Democratic Party and deliberately promotes election fraud, ACORN employees told FBI investigators, according to an FBI document dump Wednesday.

The documents obtained by Judicial Watch, a watchdog group, are FBI investigators’ reports related to the 2007 investigation and arrest of eight St. Louis, Mo., workers from ACORN’s Project Vote affiliate for violation of election laws. All eight employees involved in the scandal later pleaded guilty to voter registration fraud.

Project Vote is ACORN’s voter registration arm. Project Vote continues to operate despite the reported dissolution of the national structure of ACORN.

The handwritten reports by FBI agents show that ACORN employees reported numerous irregularities in the nonprofit group’s business practices.

One employee told the FBI that ACORN headquarters is “wkg [working] for the Democratic Party.”

According to one report, an ACORN employee said the purpose of “[f]raudulent cards” was “[t]o cause confusion on election day to keep polls open longer,”“[t]o allow people who can’t vote to vote,” and “[t]o allow to vote multiple times.”

Another report quotes an employee saying,“Project Vote will pay them whether cards fake or not – whatever they had to do to get the cards was attitude.” Project Vote pays based on the number of cards and “that’s why they were so reckless,” the report says.

A report quotes an employee saying,“I don’t like our system. I don’t think we should do voter registration.” The report also notes that employees were “[c]onstantly threatened” and that the staff were “instructed on what to say to FBI.”

Another report indicates an employee told the investigator, that ACORN “[t]old employees not to talk to the FBI.” The FBI is “‘trying to intimidate you.’”

“These documents show the need for a national criminal investigation by the Obama Justice Department into ACORN,” said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch.

“Is Attorney General [Eric] Holder doing nothing because of Obama’s close connections to ACORN and Project Vote? The information in these new documents has national implications that cry out for further investigation,” Fitton said.

President Obama’s ties to ACORN go back to the 1980s.

“ACORN noticed him when he was organizing on the far south side of the city with the Developing Communities Project,” according to Toni Foulkes, a former member of ACORN’s national board. From 1985 to 1988 Obama ran the Developing Communities Project from an office located in Chicago’s Holy Rosary Church."

"Most voters still think the next president is likely to be a Republican, but belief that it’s very likely has changed little for months.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 60% of Likely U.S. Voters believe that the next president will be a Republican. Twenty-five percent (25%) considerate it unlikely that President Obama will be succeeded by a Republican. Sixteen percent (16%) aren’t sure."

At the same time, as The BRAD BLOG detailed yesterday, Michigan's extraordinary partisan Republican Sec. of State Ruth Johnson, has been continuing her witch hunt against "non-citizen" voter fraud criminals, even if the effort keeps legitimate citizen voters from voting and/or having their ballots counted.
As Steven Rosenfeld noted at Alternet, in covering the felony indictments of McCotter's staffers, "A Republican congressman and his 'dysfunctional' staffers are now Exhibit A for election fraud in Michigan. There is not a single Democrat involved."
