Very surprised nobody has commented on this one.

Batchelder must be with Kasich on this one given that he removed both NO votes from the commission and replaced them with one Yes and one No vote.

Johnny's being a bad boy, and all because he actually harbors delusions of a presidential run.

Except Johnny does have a lot of cred when it comes to the budget. Batchelder's support tells me this isn't the end of the world.

Here's Johnny's form letter:

Thank you for contacting me with regard to extending Medicaid. I appreciate hearing from you.

Obamacare is not the path any of us would have chosen, however the Supreme Court's decision to uphold it and the President's reelection mean that it is, for now, the law of the land. My job as Governor is to limit its harm.

I said no to a state exchange in Ohio for just that reason—to limit Obamacare's impact. I said no to Obamacare's takeover of our state's insurance regulations and no to Obamacare's takeover of our Medicaid eligibility system as well. None of those things were good for Ohio and saying no to them are helping limit Obamacare's impact on my state.

In the past three years, we have worked with the General Assembly to improve the quality of Ohio's healthcare system while also improving its efficiency to give taxpayers better value. T hese and other reforms have helped save $3 bi llion for Ohio taxpayers and made Ohio's Medicaid program more stable . Ohio's reforms have been recognized nationally for helping to reduce costs, improve health outcomes, and improve care coordination.

On October 10, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Ohio's state plan amendment. Ohio law (R.C. 131.35) authorizes a state agency to spend federal funds pursuant to an appropriation of the General Assembly or authorization by the Controlling Board , also a legislative-controlled body . On October 11, 2013, the Ohio Department of Medic aid submitted a request to the Controlling Board seeking authorization to spend federal-only funds to extend Medicaid coverage to up to 275,000 Ohioans, including as many as 26,000 veterans, beginning January 1, 2014.

I continue to work with the General Assembly on this issue and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call my office

Sincerely,

John R. Kasich Governor

In other words, Kasich wants to be the tax collector for the welfare state.

Medicaid expansion, plus amnesty (Sheldon Adelson), means tremendous growth of the underclass, and the permanent shift of the state to the socialist column.

Well looky there!!!

The Ohio GOP explicitly acknowledges that medicaid expansion will save taxpayers money while some of them are simultaneously suing the state to stop it.

Imagine that!!!
