Sounds like a winner to me, a third probationary year for new teachers and a better evaluation method to access there ability to effectively teach.
Sandoval wants to eliminate 'tenure' according to the President of the state Teachers Association we don't have 'tenure', shows how informed Sandoval is and his political moves to cut education.
I agree that to tie the evaluation to student performance is a bad move, hard to track and difficult to keep 'fair' with the transiency rate so high, the students you start the year with may be completely different than what you started with.
If this helps to not cut the budgets of the K-12 I am all for it.
We msut provide the funding for education, education is the key for every student to success. With out quality education at the K-12 levels and into college it will be difficult to attract and keep business and industry in Nevada. Wake up and smell the coffee...build a strong education system and they will come.
