Brown's plan gets voter nod Now what?

Full story: Vallejo Times-Herald

California voters often send conflicting messages. They elect politicians who promise to fix Sacramento, then they approve ballot measures that tie their leaders' hands so they can't accomplish much.

did you dumb bells read the bill ? prop.30 is a retroactive tax that will go back to JAN.1,2012, that's right you will owe more tax on this years earnings even if you pay quarterly.

Prop 30 increases taxes for high income taxpayers, over $250,000 and adds 1/4 cent on the sales tax. It is a temporary tax for the rich that will last for seven years while sales tax will last for four. But knowing these politicians, once they've tasted the money the temporary becomes extended to permanent.

How exactly do you charge a sales tax retroactively?lol. Maybe you didn't read the bill. Either that or you make over 250k a year, if so, too bad, the rest of us have been carrying you too damn long. Either you are dishonest or stupid? Which one?"

Vallejo taxpayers will now pay an additional 1/4 cent tax on every dollar on top of the 1% sales tax for the city. We must be among the wealthiest cities in the state of California.

This Proposition is a sham. I still don't understand how this thing even passed. I guess voters are easily susceptible to blackmail, which is basically what JB did as he threatened to cut $6 billion in education unless it passed. This is only a band-aid, not a fix, and it will all come out of CA taxpayer pockets which are already empty. I will bet that in six months, JB is going to come out and say they still don't have anout money, and will be looking to cut the education budget anyways. More money to be mismanaged and frittered away by inept politicians.

I'd like to believe that the vote was rigged and that Californians are not so Stupid as to raise their own taxes but, alas, I guess they are. To bad for your kids, democrats have stolen their future.
