There are 349 comments on the Washington Times story from Nov 13, 2018, titled Trump sparks California wildfires debate on clearing versus climate. In it, Washington Times reports that:

The California wildfire disaster marked Monday a deadly milestone as frustrated calls for more aggressive forest management - led by President Trump - met with climate-change pushback from Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown . After Mr. Trump blasted the "gross mismanagement of the forests," prompting an outcry on the left, Mr. Brown swung back by blaming climate skeptics and calling state's dry, warm conditions "the new abnormal."

Donald Trump is trying to make a political war out of it. We all need to put aside out differences and support these people who have lost everything, including their loved ones. They need our prayers, support and love. We are all American citizens and should have a common goal and that is supporting and protecting one another, not being criticized by our President and trying to put the blame on everyone.

The outcry against Ill Duce Trump's ill considered, ill informed tweets did not come from (just) the left. It came from the professionals involved in the issue - firefighters and foresters.

Also, like his liberalism or hate it, Jerry Brown has always tended to be well informed on issues. He's what you think of when you try to recollect wonks in office.

President Trump is right again.

And another element of this gross negligence of our wild land areas in California by the progressive democrats is the progressive democrats' corruption and misappropriation for tax revenues.

Tax dollars in California should have been spent on ensuring that the State can control these otherwise uncontrollable fires. Instead of spending the money on free solar panels and trains to nowhere and healthcare for illegal aliens (who should not even be here in the first place), the progressive democrats in Sacramento should have been training air tanker pilots and buying at least 100 new air tankers.

The results? Scores of dead legal tax paying citizens and hundreds of billions of dollars in lost property. The progressive democrats in Sacramento have blood on their hands and they still refuse to put the lives, safety and property of their own legal citizens first!

THAT is the UGLY TRUTH.

And by the way? How's California's carbon foot print looking now? NO SO GOOD.

Progressive democrats in California have managed to release more CO2 in less than 2 years, than all of the cars in America produce in over a decade!

What the progressive democrats have done here is a CRIME AGAINST NATURE...By their own standards.

There is no climate change. It is a socialist scam designed to distribute American wealth globally through the United Nations. Don't Be a Sucker! Clear your brush and responsibly clear your forests and you will be fine.

I never thought of that. Trees are mostly carbon.

The white middle class (and probably quite a few non-white middle class) have fled the suburbs for the boonies, used up all the ground water, a drought ensues and POOF! Instant firetraps.

There's 52 million people in Taxifornia. That's about 20 million too many.

35-40 years ago NO ONE lived in Lancaster. Now almost 200,000 people live there. Almost half as big as Bakersfield. See what I mean by the white flight out of LA, SD and SF? Lancaster is as big as Santa Rosa. No one lived THERE much to speak of 35-40 years ago. 120,000 people live in freaking Victorville now. Barstow is a ex-burb of LA now.

Too many people, not anywhere NEAR enough water.

There's ALWAYS climate change, Black Annie. It was MUCH wetter in Egypt when they built the pyramids 5,000 years ago. Every hear of the Year without a Summer? It snowed in June in New England in 1816.

The question is whether or not WE'RE the cause. Or even if it's BAD or not. Some places would really benefit from warmer weather.

Our activities are only ONE facet of many if the Earth is indeed getting hotter. I think it's getting DRIER.

They really don't do much maintainance in Cali. Considering how many people now live in those areas, they really should do better. It's NOT pristine wilderness anymore, and much like culling our deer herds through hunting, we are now the stewards of the land, like it or not. We've FOREVER altered these areas.

climate change is not man made, its God made....the earth was covered in ice for millions of years, and has slowly warmed/melted, until now only the polar icecaps are left, because they are the furthest from the sun, but they are warming too, it cant be helped, and is not mans fault.

The idiot, mouthbreather science deniers can't get their stories straight, because they don't know anything. Many of them are denying the Earth and its polar caps are "warming too," even naturally. Then some say the Earth is warming, but naturally.

Meanwhile, the mechanism of greenhouse gases is perfectly well understood. The gawd effect is, to be kind, not.

Lastly, this is not a natural warming. It is proceeding in the context of a century, of decades. Previous changes in climate occurred far, far more slowly, in the context of geologic time spans.

The year without a summer was caused by a volcano. Sure, the Earth goes through climate cycles, but the current climate change argument is based on falsified data from NASA and NOAA. The GOES and HELIOS satellite systems provide accurate data from space, but NASA and NOAA use faked/skewed terrestrial data provided by weather stations. Nobody asks why the head of NASA resigned on the day of the Trump inauguration.

Fire = Fuel, Oxygen, Source of Ignition. California has a major fuel problem thanks to environmentalists who are laughing at the death of their neighbors right now. They are hoping Paradise is never rebuilt and people would all move to the concrete jungles where they can be herded and milked.

I will soon, but all Americans should be placing the blame on the Sierra Club for the deaths and property damage in California and not the Climate Change boogeyman.

You would hope a president would express some measure of sympathy for those who lost their lives, and the many more who have lost their homes in this tragedy. But not this sub-human "president". Make it partisan and start blaming people, all for political gain.
I understand why you kiss Trump's ass.

In naval parlance, he has the conn. yes, this is his baby, one snap of his fingers could fix it all. My theory is, he plans to let global warming eradicate humans from earth, wait a few million years, and try the experiment again, this one didn't work out the way he wanted. in his next attempt, he will omit Africans and muslims, as they are behind most of the planets unsolvable problems....he's trying more of a team effort, instead of honky versus the rest of the world. Who knows, he might go all honky next time.
