Behind every person who builds or does something constructive, there stand ten or more naysayers ready to destroy, undo or discredit it.

That has been going on since the advent of man, from the first person who used fire to cook a meal and saw his idea used to burn villages, to those who built and stacked the Great Library of Alexandria with all the knowledge accumulated to that time, until savage hordes destroyed it all.

So why should anyone be surprised that in the age of the Internet, where the entire repository of the Worlds knowledge is immediately available at anyone's fingertips, we still have millions of uneducated, uncurious, racist savages who are being led by unscrupulous demagogues, who, for their own benefit, dupe the ignorant masses into discrediting those who search for and report the truth...

100% correct! If you use Google map and then drive around Paradise at street view it's very obvious why the town burned. It was heavily vegetated to the point of streets having an arch of trees over them. Brush is everywhere, the town was very ready to burn and it did. RIP! One would hope all other towns situated like Paradise would have a professional review of their fire danger and remove dangerous vegetation ASAP! RIP!

The area known as Paradise has been inhabited since before the days of the Gold Rush and the vegetation did not present much of a problem until the climate shifted, just as the vast majority of scientists said it would.

Easily influenced individuals pooh poohed scientific findings and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

It's high time to wake up and start listening to the scientists, no matter what the big money says.

Oh come on now ! If you keep saying that you will be casted out as a RACIST like I have been by the one and only genius first amendment , you should not ask or wonder why your state officials don't clear out the flammable debris in your state that is just none of your business ! You just be thankful you are helping by banning drinking straws and hiding criminal illegals that is much more important than your meger little shack you call home !

There are people that have lost everything. Entire towns lost. Water systems sewage systems destroyed. Where is the help for these citizens of California, and the United States?
Can California quit diverting money towards sancuary cities, and help their own citizens?

Can cities be rebuilt? Will insurance companies remain solvent?
I believe it is extremely difficult to understand the destruction.

Yo Solarman,

Many us have been saying for years on these here threads that ignorant right wing Man Made Global Warming deniers would figure out a way to blame liberals for the natural effects of MMGW, just as you guys will dream up a way to blame all the damage Trump ends up inflicting on American on the Democrats.

When will you guys grow a pair and take responsibility for your own actions?***

*** Sorry, somehow I forgot that you conservative fellows take your cues from The Liar InChief who always insists that "the buck stops over yonder..."

Global warming has got everything to do with it, dummy!!!

The town of Paradise has been around for almost 200 years and nothing like this has happened to it until the CLIMATE started going BONKERS.

Lack of rain and warmer weather dry out the brush and trees, insects attracted to the new weather kill the trees by the scads, add to it the ferocious 55+ winds, which blow burning cinders sideways, plus overdue rains and you have a recipe for disaster no matter where you live.

There is little that can be done short of turning the area into a flat, deserted and boring landscape like Indiana.

And yes, I am glad you keep your front yard raked nice and clean, it makes your cardboard shack look more impressive.

Enjoy your record breaking hot summers and increasing floods but watch out for the ticks and mosquitoes being attracted by the changing climate.

I'm sorry that YOU'RE that na´ve. YOU progressives seem to think because YOU voted for your chosen, you now have NO responsibility for your own existence. SO, Nicolai, what have YOU DONE to reduce MMGW? Nothing right? DO YOU ever wonder, when you die, if the IQ of the U.S. won't increase a couple of points? LOL

No, what I think is that once we get rid of Trump, the National IQ will instantly go up by 25 points, and if his supporters finally figure out and admit they have been duped by the Donald you got another 25 points in National IQ increase, but, judging from your posts, I am not holding much hopes for the latter.

A few of the things we have done to balance our carbon footprint is install over 60 solar panels on our roof, which is overkill for our 2500 Sq house, but the surplus power goes to the grid to support your profligate ways.

We also got a couple of Tesla Power Walls and are looking into a solar water preheater, plus the house is insulated to the hilt, and...oh hell!!!

Why don't you tell us about YOUR contribution to the effects of MMGW other than overheating the internet by spreading disinformation about Man Made Global Warming and blaming it's long predicted effects on the liberals?

YOUR the one who brought up MMGW, or are you so demented, the last post has been lost to the ether before your next thought is processed? The Donald won't last forever, then it will go back to "who's on first", big deal. IF you're not just blowing sh!t, which I suspect you are. You can't post from the same place every time. Makes one believe you are a troll that says anything to make themselves sound smarter than a bacteria on a petrie dish. IF not , bravo, now with YOUR "...surplus power goes to the grid to support your profligate ways.", is asinine at best, totally ignorant of how the grid works and distributes energy. Let's talk about your (60) solar panels, who is the manufacturer? What is the wattage of each panel? Using micro-inverters or conditioners with a master inverter? South facing or East/West installation of the panels? Your two power walls, how much after hours power do they supply? So, are YOU saying your system needs the grid only sometimes? Your "trollbusting" here is going to have the same outcome as it did from Canada. LOL

Me, my second solar PV system. The first one was installed in 2005 and without Tesla power walls took care of my energy needs on a 2500 square foot home with a simple 48 Sanyo panels. My second system is again 48 solar panels from LG and produces twice as much energy as my old Sanyo system did. The new system cost the same as the old system did back in 2005 to install, it puts out twice the energy as the old system and still takes care of my energy needs. YOU say TESLA, the word is, people are still waiting for their power walls, suspicious to say the least. Folks that go with Sonnen or Panasonic or LG are getting their back up systems, on time and at the advertised price. I may purchase the LG high voltage battery backup, but would like a slightly larger system without going to parallel battery packs. Then NantEnergy is expected to go retail next year with their zinc/air storage system. Yeah, enjoy your old over priced technology. LOL

So, you gonna' dazzle us all with the stats on YOUR system now or do you keep on trollin'?

You are an insane SOB like the rest of the crazy people like you. I keep telling you if you believe what you say you believe: Don't drive, turn off your computer, turn off the power in your home, don't eat proceed food, don't wear close et al because all of that takes energy to PRODUCE!! Right wing freaks always bitch about the Firemen and cops being overpaid and that we have way too many of them

So what do you want the Public officials to do? Do like Corrupt Trump says and start raking the weeds themselves?

Paradise was full of right-wing die hards, they didn't believe in MMGW and it came and bit them in the butt but good!

People like you are way, way, way too stupid to learn from other people's mistakes, that's why it will take another MMGW exacerbated disaster to slap you upside the head to get you to start thinking, instead of parroting the party line.

You ought to educate yourself when it comes to energy before running your stupid mouth because:

"In a single hour, the amount of power from the sun that strikes the Earth is more than the entire world consumes in an entire year."

https://www.businessinsider.com/this-is-the-p...

Then we have wind power (which is also solar power if you think about it)

Then there is fusion which could provide infinite amounts of power without any pollution other than a little water.(But we do not have the will to perfect it yet.)

God, all you IGNORANT and BRAINWASHEDt right-wingers piss me off to no end!!!
You think I am going to read all this crap. You are just a brainwashed Liberal Dumb head. Tell us how you would fix the Planet that has been here for billions of years and weather change has been happening all that time. Then tell us how you would convince other countries to do what you think needs to be done. You don't know what the F you are talking about.
