Where Clinton is totally wrong is " Trickle Down " didn't work.

Trickle Down was what worked for Clinton as he lowered cap gains taxes which propelled Trickle Down to new heights.

Trickle Down was all those techie types becoming millionaires in Silicon Valley.

Trickle Down is what propelled the tremendous growth in 401Ks.

Trickle Down had a good run from 1984 until 2007.

Yes it hit some bumps but it kept chugging along.

Dem delegates, leaders struggle to explain floor fight over God, Jerusalem platform change

Published September 06, 2012

Democrats are still struggling to come to terms with the brief, but raucous, floor fight that erupted Wednesday at their convention over the restoration of references to God and Jerusalem as Israel's capital to the official platform.

Delegates who opposed the move were grumbling about being steamrolled by party leaders. And those party leaders were giving conflicting stories about what actually happened.

Immediately after the vote late Wednesday afternoon, platform committee head and former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland told Fox News the move was merely a "clarification" and not an "error."

Meanwhile, delegates who objected called the process unfair.

Rashida Tlaib, a member of the Michigan delegation and the state's House of Representatives, told Fox News that delegates had been "shammed" because it was clear the party did not have the votes to change back the language. Tlaib called it "irresponsible" and "wrong."

"It failed twice, and for whatever reason it still failed but was still pushed through," Tlaib said, referring to the three votes that were called during the brief but chaotic procedural move.

The visual from the floor Wednesday afternoon -- of delegates shouting down the convention chairman as he called the vote to restore those references -- is sure to prove ready fodder for Republicans looking to cast Democrats as hostile to religion and/or Israel.

Republicans also used the scene to mock claims that the party is "unified."

"After yesterday's convention floor fight over Jerusalem as Israel's capital and the mention of God in the platform, it's pretty hard to call this 'a unified party,'" the Romney campaign said in an email Thursday.

A large and loud group of delegates shouted "no" Wednesday as the convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, called for the vote. After he concluded the vote on the third try, many booed at his decision.

"Barack Obama as a pragmatic compromiser" has got to be the funniest line ever said or printed. The man doesn't know the meaning of the word. Remember, HIS idea of compromise was to emphatically state "Elections have consequences" and "I Won". Yep, that's the hallmark phrase of a compromiser alright. LOL

Obama Hobbled by Record, Slumping Democratic Brand

By Michael Barone
September 6, 2012

"One question, Mr. President," read the words on the front cover of this week's Economist, behind a silhouette of the back of Barack Obama's head, "just what would you do with another four years?"

It's a good question, and one that's still open as Barack Obama prepares to deliver his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in rainstorm-plagued Charlotte Thursday night.

Other presidents seeking re-election have usually provided a more or less convincing answer. George W. Bush said he would try to reform Social Security and advance energy independence.

Bill Clinton said he would provide "a bridge to the twenty-first century," which turned out to include significant tax cuts and a lunge toward Medicare reform.

Bush failed to deliver on Social Security, and Clinton failed to deliver on Medicare, but both tried to pivot from a first-term to a second-term agenda. The first George Bush, in contrast, didn't seem to pivot. He gave the impression he'd just keep going on. That wasn't good enough for voters.

Obama similarly has not pivoted. Unlike Clinton, he did not shift ground when his party was rejected in the off-year election.

For a second term he has been calling for more infrastructure stimulus, more unionized teachers and (though he has said it's harmful in a time of economic sluggishness) higher tax rates on high earners.

Republican strategist Karl Rove had a bit of fun with this last week in his Wall Street Journal column, imagining how a more moderate and compromising Obama would be running well ahead now, as Clinton was at this point in 1996.

Instead, the Obama campaign, with assists from mainstream media and during the months it had a money advantage, has concentrated on demonizing Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Clinton did this with great effect on Bob Dole in 1996. It hasn't worked so well this time.

The Democrats' other strategy is to rouse the enthusiasm of their various disparate constituencies. This hasn't worked for an incumbent Democrat since Harry Truman in 1948.

Hyper Partisan POS: Obama to GOP,‘I Won’

January 23, 2009
Jonathan Weisman reports on the White House.

The top congressional leaders from both parties gathered at the White House for a working discussion over the shape and size of President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan. The meeting was designed to promote bipartisanship.

But Obama showed that he's a partisan ideologue...

Challenged by one Republican senator over the contents of the package, the new president, according to participants, replied:“I won.”

The statement was prompted by Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl of Arizona , who challenged the president and the Democratic leaders over the balance between the package’s spending and tax cuts, bringing up the traditional Republican notion that a tax credit for people who do not earn enough to pay income taxes is not a tax cut but a government check.

If anything the contrast between Clinton and Obama will motivate millions of Democrats to vote for Romney. Romney and Clinton share a gratitude for the blessings of being American which is sadly LACKING in Obama.

Though unintintional, Democrats for Romney/Ryan in 2012 got a huge boost last night.

Say what you will, when you have to drag out Clinton to rally the BASE you know you are in trouble! Clinton won't bring in even one undecided voter, only Obama can and he is incapable of uttering the words that just MIGHT help, "I messed up, I need to reload and go in another direction". Unfortunately after the knock down he took in 2010, Mr. Obama just doubled down, as they say, and stuck with the same old stuff that hadn't worked. Remember all the far left crying the stimulus failed because it was too SMALL! Now I hear whispers that Obama, in his next term, want's to do another one! As the old saying goes, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results! I read an article today that mentioned that even if Obama confiscated 100% of the top tax brackets, it still wouldn't be enough to even put a dent in our deficit! 50% of the people can't continue to not only not pay any federal payroll tax but actually get a little reward for not paying them and still reduce the deficit. If the taxes have to go back to Clinton's era, they ALL have to go back. Or we can try Romney's plan, cut ALL taxes by 20% across the board and tighten up the loopholes in the tax code to pay for it. Of course the D's say that this amounts to a tax HIKE on the middle class, only in OBAMALAND does a 20% CUT equal a tax hike. They can only say that by "Assuming" this, that and the other scenario that "Could" happen, perhaps, maybe. BUT if you simply take the tax overhaul plan as stated, there is no way in hell that anyone will see a tax raise. Just not gonna' happen and more revenue will flow into the treasury.

I can only hope that more and more of the dem base which has been ignored and taken for granted wakes up like this young African American has , he realizes if you are not gay or illegal than the dems ignore you.

Wake up Black America"
Ever heard of an intellectual free thinking lemming? Good luck in finding one. Blacks have wasted their political capital. The Democrat Party doesn't feel they have to work for the black vote, they EXPECT IT or else. There lies the problem with a racial group giving unfounded loyalty towards a political party that doesn't deserve it.
