He has served on the finance committee and the education committee while in the House of Delegates however when Mountaineer Challenge Academy was being threatened to lose state funding he was called and his response was this, "I am only one person what do you think I can do?" Well as one person who is on both the education and the finance committees I would think maybe there would be a lot on influence you could have to help keep this education facility funded Tom! He isn't a teacher and has never had any children so why is he on the State Board of Education. Hmmm.....and wonder why he recently retired from House of Delegates only to now be on The State Board of Education.....maybe it was planned....just my opinion.

Also, when asked to check on something you never, never hear from him --hope he isn't as complacent when something needs to be addressed with the BOE. Just another good ole boy appointment!
