Yeah, because the American public is too stupid to regulate how much they drink. So glad they don't have more important things to worry about.

Do they really think that banning alcoholic energy drinks is going to stop anyone from mixing their OWN alcoholic energy drink?

To a glass filled with ice;

Add ONE caffeinated energy drink;

Add a jigger of vodka;

Stir and serve.

Ahhh no. It is not the Fed's responsibility. They do not have the authority. This should be left to States, Cities, and local municipalities to make this decision.

This is just another demonstration of the Federal Government dictating that they know better than you. If you want to drink that crap, then that is your determination. Not some freaking piece of crap politician in DC.

True enough. Why don't they ban alcohol in D C so we could see how much smarter they are when they are sober. Some of those people are never sober. They sober up by degrees, and never completely. But they are so much smarter then the rest of us. We cannot decide what to drink, or how much, and the Democrats have nothing better to do but look at energy drinks. How sad.

The Nation has major Employment, Debt and Deficit problems along with NO FEDERAL BUDGET, yet these derelict Dems are pushing for a ban on energy drinks? W-T-F!

The Dems still haven't gotten the message!

If you sheep are okay with them banning a plant we can all plant in our backyards for our own purposes, you shouldn't be whining about the Govs right to ban man-made concoctions who's sole purpose is to made you less alert.

Meanwhile...you're probably for the the feds banning weed.

"College students have been hospitalized after drinking the beverages, including the popular Four Loko. Four states - Washington, Michigan, Utah and Oklahoma - have banned them and other states are considering similar action. Police in Mesa, Ariz., said an "extremely intoxicated" teenager smashed her SUV into a tree Sunday morning after reportedly playing "beer pong" with Four Loko."

This is what happens when the Feds start banning things, sooner or later they're going to get around to banning something YOU like.

If they can ban marijuana, then there's no reason they can't ban these drinks.

there r hundreds of MIA's and DUI's given out everyday and night in the 50 states of the US to underage drinkers the media will focus on one story of 4 locos causing a accident but not report 500 other underage drinking accidents happening at the same time involving beer and hard liquor as i write this a underage drinker has been involved in a fatal DUI collision that doesnt involve 4 locos drink but u cant report it on national news if your trying 2 convince people to back our corrupt united states congress men and women into banning it
