They will not save any money as they don't really spend any there - besides staff which will remain to maintain the facility. There yearly "event budget" is about $500.
And its amazing what they are able to do with it.

Let's throw out support to this rather than the raises for the fat cats..come on Herkimer County Voters..is we loose this house we loose part of our past and thus a rich part of the future for our children and grandchildren.

Let's be honest. The more and more this area shrinks the more of this you are going to see. Less and less ammenities for less and less folks. Just that simple.

Fire the Bastards. 100 volunteers are doing all the important work.
And while you're at it, we need a volunteer to donate 2 gallons of white oil paint for the eaves.
God Knows a State worker will spend $6k on a paint job like that most of us would do ourselves. Or higher a cpl HS kids and loan them a ladder.

You could probably run the home for 20 years on the 1.5 million the State GAVE to Gems along the Mohawk for new parking lots, signage and an ampitheater and still give a hunk of change to Benton Hall.
