The only statement he's making is that there are still pockets of bigotry in New York. And lunacy. And moronism. And stupidity. And flat out meanness.

When I ask What Would Jesus Do in this situation, I imagine he would slap Golden hard across his fat jowls and tip him over like a cow. Then, as the senator lay on his back wiggling his legs and arms in the air like a beached turtle, Jesus would giggle and walk away, looking for the next fake Christian that needed dealing with.

If Christians can't deal with the hypocrisy and fraud in their own cult, perhaps they need help from those of us who don't build our lives on myths, legends and fairy tales. I'm available.

I want to void right wing christian man gods so that for the first time in the history of the United States we can actually be people of a free nation, real freedom where all law abiding citizens have the same measure of liberty and justice.

As the Governor and Assembly would never approve this measure, it is a complete waste of time. Besides the NY Court of Appeals, the state's court of last resort, could determine that the recognition of OOS marriages are mandated by the NYS Constitution.

Did he ever say Christshariahns can't marry, adopt, serve openly or be protected from arbitrary firing?

Oh wait, he's repeatedly threatened the Christshariahns with death. Never mind!

It won't happen, but this is immaterial. You *WILL NOT*, repeat *WILL NOT* get marriage equality in New York this year unless you find a way to counter Mr. Long, who has threatened to withhold endorsement from every New York republican who supports gay marriage. Thus far,*NO ONE* is countering Mr. Long and you *WILL* lose this battle because he has struck fear into the republicans.

You have two options.

1. Threaten to destroy the careers, and say it like you mean it. Assure them you will amass considerable resources to annihilate their careers if they dare not to support marriage equality, stomp-kicking them out of office and replacing them.

2. Pledge to support them by any and every means necessary, whether they get the organization's endorsement or not. Pledge that you will spend any amount of money to support their political careers if they vote for marriage equality, battling *any* organization who attempts to unseat them.

Print this post and frame it and put it up on your wall. If you don't counter Long's threat, you *WILL NOT* see marriage equality in New York this year. Guaranteed.

Quote:

If you want his support, you must oppose gay marriage.

It's that cut-and-dry for Michael Long, chairman of the New York Conservative Party.

In order to get the endorsement of the Conservative Party, one of the deal breakers is traditional marriage, Mr. Long told the New York Times. You say Im not for traditional marriage, youre not going to get our endorsement. Its as simple as that.

Long's threat carries significant political weight for the state's right-wingers.

Unquote.

Ignore this at your own peril, and *NOT ONE* republican will vote for gay marriage in the senate,*destroying* your chances of gaining marriage equality.

Counter his threat, or pledge to counteract it.

It is that simple.

Period.

I would agree that there is no chance of passage, but how sad that this guy believes he can gain politically by offering this bill.

Oh course you do, but you cannot void the Word of the Living God nor the truth. And gays talk about others seeking to force their beliefs on them. LOL!

Hey retardate, we never said you Christshariahns can't marry or serve openly. We know who the bigots are.

This is a secular society, but Jeebus will be wery, wery angry at your lying when your time comes.

P.S. Why weren't you Raptured at 6pm Saturday. A man who reads the buybull "literally" says you should have been. And as we know, no fundie has ever mis-read the buybull.

But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.(Mat.6:15)
